I finish Friday at 5pm and I am so far from organised I can't even panic any more!

Working nights right over Christmas, + a few hours at my A&E League of Friends shop.
That, I suspect , will be the best bit of Christmas.

24/7/365 means the valuable work I do is covered for every minute of every hour of every day of the whole year. Christmas day included. Rather like the fire service, ambulance service, police force etc.

I was exactly the same when I worked Miffs...amazingly everything always gets done.
Now I am a bit more organised, but I tend to be one of those people who buys cards and Christmas presents early December...and ends up wrapping them and writing them out at the last minute. santa

FFS, get some denatured alcohol and use some Q-tips - soft clean rag and work that sticky - nasty key board over. If you could keep a can of 'AIR' handy ...put it too use once in a while; but FFS don't shake the can up, just use it as directed ...it will aide in keeping all those keys from getting gunked up with extra dust particles and crumbs and icky stuff! I finished work for Christmas, as well as for good, on December 17th (I think) 1999. I was given a crate of excellent red wine, a big wet kiss from my PA for whom I had secretly entertained, er, lustful thoughts for a few years, and an endearing parting shot from my regional director who said "for God's sake piss off and give me peace and quiet at last..." before adding with a grin: "But by God it's going to be dull around here now."

The most wonderful accolade for which I could have wished.

I finish for Christmas and up at my current Job on Friday, it's sad i have loved working here.

But a really good job has come up down in Canberra which will let me live in my farm house permanantly, So not only Christmas but moving as well, I got to be ready to start the new job on the 9th.

Similar to what I did for the Department of Education from a technology perspective.
which is pretty hard to explain to a layman, so basically
I am an 'expert' in the technology/infrastructure that allows large scale remote installation and management of software.
