Re: Winter Solstice IN TWO DAYS!!!
Cold and dark, this time of year,
the earth lies dormant, awaiting the return
of the sun, and with it, life.
Far beneath the frozen surface,
a heartbeat waits,
until the moment is right,
to spring.

Because her first title didn't have the "two days" bit - she thought it was today.

Ahhh....I only saw the title now, I couldn't work out how you were wrong.
I thought the longest day was last week....I posted it somewhere, I'm sure it was you who put me right.

I just have that feeling that this is going to be a yearly conversation.

Re: Winter Solstice IN TWO DAYS!!!
Ready for the days to get longer! I'm tired of it getting dark at 5 p.m. and having to walk my dog in freezing temperatures in the morning.
Re: Winter Solstice IN TWO DAYS!!!
INDEED ...a FB friend sent photo's of her 3 Weiner dogs in their holiday sweaters. That set off a lot of LMAO posts to her page, until she posted what her temp reading was ...12° and that had warmed up 3° from earlier. She's going to have some plantings die from that shock!Ben Reilly wrote:Ready for the days to get longer! It's a GREAT feeling when 21/12 comes round every year and you think "this is it! things can only get better now. longer, sunnier days ahead" Bring on the solstice!
