Today is the Winter Solstice
The shortest day, darkness early, moon shines bright
Summer beckons, each day longer, leading to the light
Winter nights cuddled by the fire
Lead to Summer days as the sun rises higher.
A time for contemplation, a time for sitting still
A time to count your blessings and your heart does fill.
A time to look around you and find the good you've got
A time to hold your loved ones and cuddle them a lot.
The shortest day, darkness early, moon shines bright
Summer beckons, each day longer, leading to the light.

Yes it was. Really like it.
Winter can be a pretty tough and lonely time for some.

It can, I go in every day to the old lady next door as her relatives live a little way away. They come at least twice a week, but there is no-one in between and she is in the first stages of dementia. Her nephew is going to take her to his house for Christmas though, and he takes her shopping every week.

Ah it's nice to lookout for the elderly.
I walked an old man home the other night, he was shuffling out of our local Tesco and I had a few items in a carrier bag. I took his bags for him and escorted him home....
He had about twenty bottles of wine in there!!
my arms were killing me lol
