I've got news for you Tommy and this may come as a bit of a shock but graphs that are going up are for figures going up and graphs that are going down are for figures going down.
Yours is for spending in real terms - my graph is for figures using deflators which is the way economists measure change in the economy and spending.

No... my graph showed total actual spending in real terms... your graph showed only the increases in spending in 5 yearly columns and each showed an increase!!!
