Terrorists back on streets

The vast majority of convicted terrorists jailed over the past 15 years are now back on Britain's streets, a Sky News investigation has discovered.

Around three-quarters of the 583 people imprisoned on terror charges in the years since the 9/11 attacks have now served their sentences and been released from UK prisons, many still holding the same extremist beliefs that got them jailed in the first place.

Sky News has been told that around two-thirds of those released refused to engage with prison deradicalisation programmes aimed at addressing their extremist behaviour.

The severity of legal sanctions depend on the severity of the crime - if our elected government think there is need to do more then they will act upon it.

which means they have likely served what ....10 years max? for THAT....

thats not justice thats a "penal code sanction"

I would support the death penalty for the most heinous of crimes if we ever had a vote on it (which we probably wont)

well if he is known to have terrorist links, or can be shown to have researched terrorist material then yes....bang him up...why not
if hes been shown to have had an active part in a terrorist action, especially one that has done its job, even if he wasnt the person carrying/fireing the bomb then yes bang him up (joint enterprise)
