Tell me, those videos of skinning animals you like to post, were they pre-stunned and if so how, out in the wild? The animals you say you kill yourself for meat, how do you pre-stun them?

The smell of hypocrisy reeks from here.

Plus, over 80% of halal meat is pre-stunned and all supermarkets have stated that the halal meat they sell is pre-stunned.

And stunning is sooooooooooo kind isn't it.

On Wednesday, the Daily Mail reported Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose and Marks & Spencer all sold the imported halal meat that is not labelled as such.

All of the stores have told The Huffington Post UK that all its meat from is pre-stunned, including those slaughtered in accordance with halal.

In answer to your question, yes I knowingly eat halal slaughtered food all the time, in England and elsewhere. My favourite food is Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi, so unavoidable really.

That said, if you REALLY care about animal welfare you should be more concerned with the conditions farmed animals live in their whole lives-almost certainly pretty dire in most cases-than the seconds or few minutes it takes to die.

IF, your concern is only animal welfare, that is.

AS RECENT abbatoir animal slaughter "scandals" in Indonesia (and also in places like Vietnam and Cambodia) have shown, the biggest problem with cases of cruelty and poor animal welfare weren't with any Halal and/or Kosher requirements...

BUT with the existence of penny-pinching criminal minded slaughterhouse operators, employing low standard and poorly trained workforces to further reduce costs and pad their own pockets..

Enforcement of existing animal welfare laws, and better education and training of their workforces, has led to far better results than the xenophobe_driven and PETA_video_fuelled Euro' centric bullshit rants from the likes of fascists like Major/Stormee and co., on here..
