When BP had to pay compensation for their oil spill the amount of false claims [by Americans] was staggering!

They already know but dont care as they can easily afford to put on a show of taking responsibility for cleaning up their mess but
cant change the fact that thousands of sea birds die in agony because of their oil spills.
All for money and none fore care about the envirenment we all live in

No! Fish and sea life and birds that use and live in that stretch of water do not feel as though they're "safely existing together"
Especially when a bunch of them wind up dead covered in oil!

Greenpeace seems to be non active nowadays, they cant stop most of the damage most Countries do to the environment but at least it
bought it to the publics attention.
If they could do it all on the quiet away from public knowledge they bloody would!

Greenpeace, and the more recent Sea Shepherd organisation, have been spending much of their time around the Pacific and Southern oceans in recent years...

Though, no doubt, you will see an increasing presence of protest organisations around the Arctic once the Ruskies, Cannucks, Yanks and Nordic/Viking hordes start sniffing around their respective oil fields..

YOU would imagine that if they knew a lot of claims were fraudulent, then most of them wouldn't ne paid out ?

AS WELL AS the compensation, there are also penalties against BP by American and Mexican authorities, and the ongoing cleanup and remediation costs --  I read yesterday that the total payout by BP has already passed US $40 billion..  That must be a few years of shareholders' profits lost there already..


ALONG A SIMILAR VEIN,  a couple of years back I read that more than two decades after the Exxon Valdez disaster up in Alaska, there were still some affected Innuit communities and some commercial fishermen who hadn't yet seen any genuine compensation efforts reaching them..

Doesn't that often seem to be the way  !?!

Exactly Eddie and the birds if rescued in time are taken in by underfunded animal sanctuaries whilst they are making billions.
It's disgusting but we have no voice and I want a voice and so should everyone else who loves our wildlife.
If you think something is wrong you are entitled to say so and I do!

Stuff the shareholders Wolfie, they mean zilch to me or most of us in my opinion.
I'd rather see a living bird on any shore than a fat,overweight shareholder flashing their fat ass

I WASN'T actually supporting the shareholders there, blackie -- but simply adding another angle to the discussion...

And another potential argument to use against the actions of corporations like BP,  and their arrogant attitude that the whole planet is only there for their greedy exploitation.
