How weird is this?

If you going to tackle the rape epidemic shouldn't you be educating your youths rather than putting the blame on the victims?

Spot on.
Rape is not about a man seeing a pair of legs and being awash with uncontrollable lust, it's about hate and control.....and placing the onus on the woman is 100% wrong.

Obviously women do have to look after themselves, but having to dress in an oppressive manner is not the way to do that.

I think it has got to do with lust, and being sexually frustrated as well as power and control. I think there are many reasons why rape occurs. I think porn might have a lot to do with it too.

Maybe....it's a question only a rapist could truthfully answer I suppose.
Date rape and that old chestnut "couldn't stop once I had started" might be about lust....seeing a complete stranger walking down the street and wanting to overpower her seems more like hate and control to me.

Sounds like a plan!

However, in India there is a problem that causes a lot of it. For many years parents didn't want girls, so all sorts of things happened to make sure they didn't have them. Consequently the last census showed that there were 943 females per 1000 of males. As sex outside of marriage is still looked down on and 90% of males are not going to find a wife, that's a hell of a lot of frustrated men!!!!

Exactly, but rape isn't about sexual frustration. Many male rapes (the ones that are reported) are carried out by straight men. It's power taken in the form of sex.

I think in a country or culture that denies men sex until they marry or pay for it is exactly why there are rapes in places like India.

I couldn't careless if they have to carry their balls around in a wheelbarrow, there is no excuse for rape, none at all.

Girls / women should be able to walk around without being molested, attacked or raped.

NOTE that should be around 6% won't be able to find a wife locally, sassy -- not "90%" !!!

Anyways -- there's never any excuse for rapes..
