I definitely agree. The Pauline re-writing of 'who was Christ' has totally confused the plot.
My own opinion is that Christ was among the great founding philosophers...along with Socrates, Epicurious, Hobbes, Kant, Hegel and others. Christ's contribution was humanism: emphasizing the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, rather than divine or supernatural matters. Today, we pigeon-hole this core philosophy in something called Christian charity...as if it is a side-bar discussion.

Very well said Quill. I agree. religious belief or not aside the philosophy is key.

Re: Religion In A Nutshell
Republican Christians generally plant bombs in black churches, or shoot 'em up like Dylann Roof.

Re: Religion In A Nutshell
Heard many similar stories about Mother Teresa not being as “saintly” as many assume, but then again, they’re just secondhand stories.
So who really knows?

Re: Religion In A Nutshell
I also read that Mother Theresa confided to a few people late in life that she'd lost her faith, and that to the best of their knowledge, she never believed in God again. It was called her "dark night of the soul."
