Daily Mail Criticises John Cleese’s Pot Belly, Monty Python Star Hits Back At Editor Paul Dacre
John Cleese has lashed out at Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre after the newspaper ran an article mocking his “beer belly”.
Using pictures of the 76-year-old Monty Python Star on a recent shopping trip, the piece said:
Unsurprisingly, Cleese was having none of it and in typically bombastic fashion insinuated he hoped Dacre’s next heart-attack “would be his last”.
John Cleese ✔ @JohnCleese
I see the Mail is shaming my fatness. Fair comment. Plump at the O2,and much worse since the Shingles and the Arthritis. Must try harder...
John Cleese ✔ @JohnCleese
However,it's also true that Paul Dacre, editor of the Mail,is ahead of me in the Heart Attack stakes,by 5-0.Let's hope his next is his last.

He was stick thin while playing his most famous character Basil Fawlty.
But John Cleese revealed a considerable paunch while out shopping in London recently.
Wearing an unflatteringly tight-fitting t-shirt, the 76-year-old was unable to disguise his rather large beer belly while walking among shoppers.
Unsurprisingly, Cleese was having none of it and in typically bombastic fashion insinuated he hoped Dacre’s next heart-attack “would be his last”.

Dacre has continued the Nazi philosophy he inherited from his predecessors.
Let no one forget the Daily Fail supported Hitler's Black shirts before the war.

What a tosser Paul Dacre is! If the only thing you can write about is a 76 year old gentleman's 'belly' the it's time you sniffed out a more worthwhile story.
John Cleese needn't worry; he's a legend.....and he only speaks to the best journalists!

Support of fascism
The "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" article by Lord Rothermere
Lord Rothermere was a friend of Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler, and directed the Mail's editorial stance towards them in the early 1930s.[32][33] Rothermere's 1933 leader "Youth Triumphant" praised the new Nazi regime's accomplishments, and was subsequently used as propaganda by them.[34] In it, Rothermere predicted that "The minor misdeeds of individual Nazis would be submerged by the immense benefits the new regime is already bestowing upon Germany". Journalist John Simpson, in a book on journalism, suggested that Rothermere was referring to the violence against Jews and Communists rather than the detention of political prisoners.[35]
Rothermere and the Mail were also editorially sympathetic to Oswald Mosley and the British Union of Fascists.[36] Rothermere wrote an article titled "Hurrah for the Blackshirts" in January 1934, praising Mosley for his "sound, commonsense, Conservative doctrine",[37] and pointing out that: "Young men may join the British Union of Fascists by writing to the Headquarters, King's Road, Chelsea, London, S.W."[38]

There are actually few people I wish dead. Certainly there are a few I didn't or will not mourn their passing. Thatcher Kim Jong-un, Saddam Hussain, OBL, Rupert Murdoch, Robert Maxwell, Trump, and even Dacre . All are/were terrible leaders or media moguls who twist stories and the truth to their own benefit.

Wishing someone dead is very childish. You have no actual idea what these people are really like.

I wish Kim Jong-un were dead.
Someone kill him,please.
The world will be a safer place.
If Trump and Kim disagree , it could all end horribly.

Most people of 76 years would have better things to think about than shallow matters like their looks - and not even bother to respond. Actors are a different breed. Usually neurotic.

COULD SOMEBODY maybe put up a recent photo' of Herr Dacre, so that we all know who it is with the bitchy mouth ???
Considering that John Cleese has always been known as a tall, long and lanky/gangly comedian, it's only natural that any excess weight that he's put on recently will be a lot more obvious than on a shorter, stouter, younger chappy..
The Daily Flail seems determined to reinforce it's proud reputation as the gutterpress of English journalism -- the last refuge for the fascist and black-shirt brigade before finally being wheeled off to the Loony bin or the morgue; whichever comes first.
