Theresa May's plan to slash employment rights and cut workers' wages in poorer areas revealed
Mrs May made George Freeman MP her new policy guru last week, and he believes people working in new firms should have NO employment rights
Theresa May’s new policy guru has a plan to slash employment rights and cut wages for workers in poorer areas.
MP George Freeman, made head of Mrs May’s policy board last week, also believes people working in new firms should have no employment rights, possibly including maternity pay, paid leave and minimum wage.
And he says Britain’s biggest firms should pay just 10% corporation tax.
Labour say by hiring him, Mrs May has revealed a true right-wing agenda.
Shadow Cabinet Minister Jonathan Ashworth said: “These are unfair policies that are bad for working people.”
The proposals are all included in a policy paper Mr Freeman co-wrote three years ago with fellow Tory Kwasi Kwarteng. A year later he was appointed as a junior Health Minister.
After his appointment by Mrs May, he boasted his new role will be to “help shape the new Government’s programme” and guide “the deep economic and social reforms we need to make”.

Mr Freeman believes Britain's biggest firms should pay just 10 per cent corporation tax
Mrs May has insisted her Government will seek to help working people rather than just “the privileged few”.
But in Mr Freeman’s June 2013 paper called The Innovation Economy Industrial Policy for the 21st Century, he says both minimum wages and public sector pay should be “regionalised”.
And he suggested: “We should exempt new firms for their first three years from employers’ national insurance, business rates, corporation tax and employment legislation.”
As well as halving corporation tax for the biggest firms, he also said green energy subsidies could be “abolished”.
Mr Ashworth added: “The new Prime Minister may offer warm words about reaching out and putting working people first – but her actions show that those at the top of the Tory Party will do nothing for working people.”
Both Downing Street and Mr Freeman declined to comment.

Well, that's the insanity that has busted the backs of our middle class here in America; keep giving the upper echelon {mega rich} the tax cuts - keep taxing the middle class {worker B's} and then when you've broken our backs - stand around and wonder WTF happened to the tax base and the economy?Mrs May has insisted her Government will seek to help working people rather than just “the privileged few”.

Seems as though PM - Mrs. May: has back peddled - flip/flopped - changed her mind = LIED?

Indeed, and who are they gonna blame when there's no muzzzzlims around to 'blame-game' their woes on? Hmmm, gee things are going to get pretty TIGHT and seems the upper echelon aren't going to give a 'rat's arse' about those who will be whining the loudest?

Both the British PM, and her extremist advisor are Right Whingers..
To paraphrase FDR all those years ago, let the Financiers gain control of your government, and both your economy and your society will soon be screwed...

I HAVEN'T SEEN any of those "Anti-British" posts that you and Raggs are constantly moaning about on here, nicko...
WHAT I HAVE seen is anti-fascist/anti-racist/anti-'hill shepherd'/anti-hatemongerer/anti-dullard posts aimed at certain subsets of society..
HOW DOES that equate to "Brit bashing" ?
Surely you're not claiming that Major, Tommy, and co., are somehow representative of all British people, are you nicko ??
Because I know they're not...
Like everyone else on here, they only ever speak for themselves..

You don't speak for all the Brits on here Nicko. I have no problem with Wolfie and Vera. There is SO much wrong with Britain, they have plenty of ammo. Britain needs to put its own house in order. Too many extremists live here and post here.

SO...
EXPLAIN to us how anti-fascist/anti-hill shepherd/anti-twat/anti-racist/anti-xenophobe posts equates to "anti-British" posts, nicko ???
ARE YOU saying that all Brit's are fascist hill shepherds, racist twats, and xenophobes, then ?
BECAUSE I certainly don't believe that you're all as barmy as the Tommys and Stormees of this world ! On the contrary, nicko, the more rational and sane Brit's on here far outnumber the 3 or 4 nutters giving your country a bad name..

Well, it's becoming quite obvious ...that between Nicko and the other Village Idiot = Tommykins --- there's no topic to be allowed to flourish to be cussed or discussed by the adults due to their continued attacking and constant STUPID DERAILING of the thread.
It's useless trying to carry on a decent discussion with this being allowed! FFS - ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP!

Not govt policy!
And the suggested exemptions for new businesses was only for very small new startup businesses and then only if very small number people employed... something like max of 2-3...

It was her that came up with the name Nasty Party to describe the Tory Party On that she was right and now she looks set to be just that. as leader of it.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse!
You know something does not make any sense when it contradicts.
It claims employees will have no rights, that means no rights, then eludes to this being possible to being about maternity, holiday pay etc.
Well no rights, means no working times regulations, no equality 2010 act, this would have to be scrapped, not even entittled to a contract among other things.
What thre article does is elude to this claim based off the paper he wrote which does state correctly about a variance in pay on different areas, which would make sense if the cost of living is different and this did not meaning lowering the minimum wage and the only other factual statement from his paper is on tax on buisnesses and new companies being exempt from paying NI for 3 years.
Here you can read his paper for yourself.
