THERE were new fears for Paul Gascoigne last night after he accidentally exposed himself in the street.

The football icon — heading to buy booze in only a dressing gown — stumbled barefooted from his flat with a bent cigarette hanging from his lips.

Slurring his words, Gazza, 49, climbed into a taxi before returning with a bottle of gin, cigs and painkillers.

As he stepped out of the cab his gown fell open revealing he was naked underneath.






An onlooker said: “He stood there in the middle of the street where all the neighbours could see him.

“It was a sad final public indignity for Gazza. We are all worried for him.”

The ex-England, Newcastle and Spurs star had to ring neighbours’ bells to gain entry to his beachside flat as he had forgotten his key.

Last Wednesday he was helped into an ambulance in bare feet with a cut head. He was checked over before deciding he wanted to go in for treatment.

What a sad end to his life. Why is not getting the help he needs?

I don't feel sorry for him at all. He's had so many advantages others don't get, and he's blown it with self indulgent, self gratifying selfish behaviour. Another George Best. He'll be dead soon.

He has a mental illness though.

It was only a couple of days ago that he was reported as being out with girlfriend at the coast somewhere and pictured looking totally different...

The poor man's bereaved... I hope he recovers.

Paul Gascoigne received has widespread messages of support from football fans following the emergence of worrying new photos of the former England star.

Distasteful pictures surfaced on Tuesday of the troubled Three Lions legend emerging from a taxi at his Dorset flat wearing nothing but a dressing gown.

Gazza, 49, had reportedly just been to the shop to pick up gin, cigarettes and painkillers when the photographs were taken.

The former Newcastle, Tottenham and Rangers midfielder has a history of mental health problems, having struggled with depression and alcoholism in the past.

Twitter users rallied in support of the popular Geordie, with many criticising the decision for the images to be published.

TOMMY  wouldn't recognise "photoshop fakery" if he was slapped around the head with it  !!!

Look at pic 2 and the back of the BMW... clearly added into picture... man's fit and legs don't look right either... plus dressing gown belt ganging down all wrong...

Does Gascoigne even have a tattoo of the grim reaper on top of leg/groin area...?



Even the yellow car he's supposed to be getting out of is all wrong...

It does look like him and I don't think the pic is photoshopped, as for the photo not being published....he sells papers.

Of course it isn't photoshopped, looks like poor Gascoigne is beyond help now.  It is really sad.

Nobody is past help, but publishing pics of him in that state isn't going to help him.

Just for those outside the UK who may not be familiar with Gascoigne's name - he's been arguably the greatest England footballer seen since the 1990's. Manchester United supremo Sir Alex Ferguson said only one young player excited him as much as Cristiano Ronaldo the first time he saw him play - Paul Gascoigne.

I'm not sure.   The problem is the photos are usually such low res.    Put it this way...I did this in about 10 mins with a low res photo.   So you can do just about anything with time and high res photos.

Gazza is a first rate twack who does not deserve sympathy but the poor bugga gets mine.

What a wasted talent.
I would have liked to see Cloughie take on Gazza and feel sure things would have been different.
I would have also liked to have seen Gazza help out with our England youth squad as his enthusiasm shone through, alas he has gone to the dogs.

Tommy I can't argue about the pics but I do know that people who live in his neighbourhood said they saw him with a coat open and his knackers hanging out, which is what the photo shows. So someone called the papers or took the picture.

I won't argue with Horatio as she has far more experience with pictures and photos than I have.

The point is, the actual point is, that this is what happened.
