Russian minister: U.S. is engaging in global mind control via Netflix

Netflix was only launched in Russia earlier this year but there have already been calls for further regulation on the American service.

And now, Russia’s culture minister Vladimir Medinsky has decided to take their calls for restrictions even further by accusing the American government of using the streaming service as a tool to control the mind’s of people around the globe.

Well, as long as we can continue with our Charmed rewatch.

‘They understand how to enter everyone’s homes by getting into every television with the help of Netflix and through this TV into the heads of everyone on Earth,’ Mr. Medinsky told Russian online news site Rambler News Service.

‘But we [in Russia] don’t grasp this.’

Some in Russia’s state-run media agreed with the minister with Karen Shakhnazarov defending the position as a way to defend local companies trying to compete with Netflix.

That would depend on the government influencing Hollywood to promote pro-U.S. propaganda. And Hollywood is very anti-American, according to our patriotic Republicans

I mean, what person outside of the U.S. who's watched Breaking Bad has not said -- "Wow, none of this had to happen, it was just their shitty health care system."

Yeah I did. I thought it was horrid that he had nothing to cover his medical care.
We can moan about the UK but the NHS is brilliant.
