A few general questions
just a few...which might lead me to further musings
since veya keeps banging on about the importance of "national status" and such like
why do we absolutely have to be
a "regional player"
a "powerful" nation
a "mover of things"
have a "big role" to play?
does it actually make any difference?
I mean to the "man in the street"
and is the only alternative really one of oblivion in a grey lefty soup of mediocrity?
seriously...
lets have some answers......

Re: A few general questions
Only a righty would bring into the topic the subject of "lefty".
It has never been a lw/rw debate. Half of LW voted out - half of Conservative voted in. You confuse the issue with politics. A simple mistake , but one a "Lord" should have seen.

Re: A few general questions
what you say "Half of LW voted out - half of Conservative voted in." is doubless true
however the only ones having vile hysterics and getting personal with others ...are the "lefty remainders"
(ohhh I like that...... remainders...like the cold dreary left overs of last nights supper.......)
moreover the point I make IS correct
the EU is EXACTLY that, a grey lefty soup of mediocrity where individual enterprise is despised and individual acheivment decried, where compliance is the most important thing and the best answer is NOT to strive but sit back and wait for the hand out.....

Re: A few general questions
Yes it will make a difference to the man in the street.
He will get poorer, whilst the uber rich elite will get richer.
Oil prices will rise. Mortgages will rise. Inflation will rise. Pay will freeze. the NHS will be privatised.Unemployement will rise as firms go bust or move back to europe - as many have already indicated they will do so.
Isn't that supposed to happen in a rw utopia?

Re: A few general questions
yes...and the other (main) questions
its like squeezing blood out of a stone??
oh and isnt that what the EU is all about...regulation favouring BIG business and killing small.
preventing individual enterprise and stifling individual excellence??

Re: A few general questions
Also the pound will collapse.
http://news.sky.com/story/1717973/pound-reaches-new-low-on-brexit-fears
We needed to show Europe HOW to change, which cameron never did.
Our borders are too porous - thanks to the conservative austerity which slashed 7000 Border force abnd immigration staff.
Those left are demotivated by the 6 year pay freeze.
Mobile assets have been sold off, and you are lucky to see a Customs Officer in the blue/Red/Green channel any longer.
Food banks are the new industry, there are more attending those than on unemployment benfit , which suggests even those in work, on minimum wage/zero hour contracts are also clients.
What a wonderful world this Conswervative party are leaving for our future generations.

Re: A few general questions

and showing europe how to change isnt an option
junker now rules absolutely....

Re: A few general questions
People have got poorer over the last 10vyears being in the eu... cost of living has risen and wages have been suppressed... also access to public services have diminished... standard of living has dropped...
Now we can get out of the EU... and as the chair of the Remain camp said if we leave... 'wages will rise'.. lord rose!!!

And how about the leave campaign accepts responsibility for the free falling pound?

I am telling you what has happened here.
And the financial turmoil started when all the last polls predicted a strong remain result.
Casino bankers betting on red and it came in black.
Others have bet on the pound losing value while also selling sterling and buying other currencies.
Blame the bankers...

no good les it seems you are one the few that has the capacity to see beyond the little Island. Nothing any of the people here has whinged abotu is uniquie to Britian, the only thing that is uniquie is that so many (indeed the majority) are unable to cope or accept the facts of reality.
Victor is positivily a 'villiager'.
And he is right makes no difference to a Villiager like him...
BUT to some with drive and ambition, that has an enterperneral dream
the desire to be something, to be the best, to be a world leader...
to those people it makes all the difference,
literally it makes the difference between even getting the chance to start or not.
It is a ticket stright into the big leagues or at least a starting spot in the minors.
If those people are born into nations with no economic standing then
they have no choice but migrate to a land of opportuinity.
Which is why people migrate to USA or Australia etc and until now the UK

Re: A few general questions
Suddenly the lefties have become very interested in capitalist ideas, big business, and the money markets. I thought they were above that kind of thing.
