This is part of a drive funded by the government, for schools (including 40 primary schools) to be more open to children who may be questioning their gender identity.

Good idea or not?

"No trans person should be forced to dress in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable".....they are talking of children as young as 4 years old.

Maybe some very young children do feel different, but allowing little boys to wear frocks will be imo very confusing for them and all the other kids in the school.
Trousers are unisex.....surely till the time comes when they can make their own minds up about their sexuality trousers would be a sensible compromise.

Well the celtic people of this country have worn Kilts, IE skirts for centuries.

So I see nothing wrong with this as fashion changes all the time.

Kids can get the shit kicked out of them for simply looking at someone wrong and if you teach your child to "not do something in case you get the shit kicked out of you" then you're teaching them to obey bullies.
