ROMANIA | Romanians are easy scapegoats for populist politicians, not just in Britain, but in Germany, too

From Dana Ionescu, in Bucharest
Elmar Brok, the current chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, elected on Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union ticket, would like Romanian immigrants to be fingerprinted.
He claims that people who come to Germany in order to ask for emergency welfare must be sent back to their country of origin as soon as possible. Fingerprintin, he argues,g would help the authorities fast track those illegally returning to Germany after their expulsion.
"Immigrants who come to Germany only for unemployment benefits, child benefits and health tourism must quickly be sent back to their countries of origin. To prevent multiple entries we must think seriously of pre-emptive fingerprinting," Brok told thelocal.de .
The politician pointed to many examples of Romanian benefits scroungers without putting figures to his claims or naming sources. Moreover, according to the same German news outlet, statistics from the Federal Labour Agency show that only 0.6% of the approximately 225,000 Bulgarian and Romanian migrants living and working in the UK have claimed unemployment benefits in the last year.
Scaremongering stories about waves of Romanians and Bulgarians moving over to German from 1 January 2014 in order to take advantage of strained welfare systems have appeared in German media for months.
The crucial Bavarian sister party of Angela Merkel's Christian Democrat alliance, the Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) said the new rules increased risk of "fraud in social benefits."
However, such opinions have not been quite as widespread and have never reached the xenophobic overtones that the British tabloid press managed to. Many expert voices minimised the grounds for concern. One of these is migration expert Klaus Bade.
Prof. Dr. Klaus J. Bade, Chairman of the Expert Council of German Foundations on Integration and Migration (SVR) told Euronews: “Total immigration from Romania and Bulgaria is not about the poor, but about the elites. Of those living in Germany, 80 percent are employed. Forty-six percent of them are qualified; 22 percent of them are highly qualified, with an academic degree.’‘
In the meantime, senior Social Democrats, who are in coalition with the Christian Democrats, told the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, that the CSU was using "stupid slogans" to stoke up debate on immigration from Romania and Bulgaria.

Re: ROMANIA | Romanians are easy scapegoats for populist politicians, not just in Britain, but in Germany, too
so lets see...80% are employed
so the other 20% are scrounging layabouts....
46% are qualified
so 54% of them are unqualified and thus must be taking up low end jobs from ordinary germans....(except for the 20% who are layabouts)
22% are highly qualified and thus must be taking highend jobs from equally highly qualified germans....
OR perhaps the germans are all pot smoking beer swilling layabouts who wont get a job at any price...???
If we follow That logic...which is the logic applied here to justify importing millions of foreigners, then ALL of western europe is presumably inhabited by lazy beer swilling layabouts.......
Or..perhaps....those who SEE that immigration is a ploy by the monied elite to suppress wages and reduce working conditions., All the while making treacherous statements about their own citizens, actually have a point.

The daily mail along with this government have brainwashed the masses it seems, and this nonsense of 'benefit street' shown on C4 has more than done enough damage, portraying the majority who are actively seeking work as 'dole scroungers and louts'
This is what a Tory led coalition are all about, label people, persecute other religions/races and pick on the disabled and label those with serious disabilities as for for work.

Speaking of goats, I think goat milk is incredibly bitter and doesn’t fare well in a cup of tea. Does anyone else have a preference for not drinking goat milk?

All I know is, if you fuck one goat, you're "Goatfucker" for the rest of your life.
