CCTV: Police appeal after shocking hit and run in Dagenham

Barking and Dagenham police has released this CCTV footage of a shocking hit and run, that left a woman seriously injured. The collision between the pedestrian and a black Ford Ka, which happened on 14 April 2014 at around 18.45 on a zebra crossing in Siviter Way, Dagenham, has been released in a bid to identify those responsible. The Ford Ka - which did not stop - sustained a damaged windscreen. Enquiries subsequently established that the car had been scrapped.

The victim, who was 25 at the time of the collision, was taken to an east London hospital where she was treated for a fractured collar bone and skull.

As a direct result of the injuries sustained, the victim has undergone two operations and her recovery is still ongoing.

Detectives are very keen to trace the driver of the vehicle and anyone else who has information about the incident.
