Woman, 23, dies of wounds after Beit Horon stabbing
A 23-year-old woman injured in a terrorist attack Monday died of her wounds, hospital officials said Tuesday morning.
Shlomit Krigman sustained serious injuries during a stabbing attack in the West Bank settlement of Beit Horon.
She was evacuated to Hadassah Hospital in Mount Scopus in critical condition where her condition was defined as life-threatening.
Despite efforts to stabilize her, she deteriorated overnight and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning, a statement from the hospital said.
Another woman, 58, was moderately injured in the attack, which took place outside a small market inside the settlement.
Both attackers, one from nearby Beit Ur al-Tahta and one from the Ramallah area, were shot and killed by a security guard.
Krigman, who had previously served as a group leader for the Bnai Akiva Youth Group in Beit Horon, was spending time with her grandparents in the settlement when she was attacked, according to a message from the community sent out Tuesday morning.
She would have turned 24 next week.
Her funeral was scheduled for 1 p.m. at Jerusalem’s Har Hamenuchot Cemetery.

As we’ve noted previously when commenting on misleading Guardian headlines, it would be difficult to find an example of terror in world – outside of Israel – where media outlets prioritize the fate of the perpetrators over that of their victims.
Sure enough, the Guardian has done it again, with the following headline accompanying an Associated Press (AP) report on yesterday’s deadly terror attack in Beit Horon.
What possibly would motivate editors to lead with the death of the terrorists, while relegating the victims of their attack (one of whom died after the story was published) to the strapline?
It is important to note that, when publishing articles written by news agencies such as AP, editors have control over the headline, strapline and photo choices. As such, it’s quite telling that the AP article itself begins appropriately, by prioritizing the victims:
http://ukmediawatch.org/2016/01/26/guardian-headline-on-terror-attack-focuses-on-death-of-palestinian-perpetrator/
The official Fatah Facebook page published "an important announcement" heaping praise on the current wave of attacks on Jews.
It is couched in religious terms, starting off with "In the name of Allah the Merciful: The Almighty said: 'And We desired to show favor unto those who were oppressed in the earth, and to make them examples and to make them the inheritors.'"
The article then went on to praise Mahmoud Abbas for his speech on September 30 at the UN General Assembly, which was, in their words, "the launch of a new phase is in the development of the decisions of the [Fatah] Central Council into action, activating the popular resistance on the ground, in conjunction with the diplomatic offensive and political fights in all arenas of the United Nations and international organizations."
The Fatah announcement ends off with "It's a revolution until victory ... until victory ... until victory."
And it then shows this photo of a young woman wearing a headband for a youth organization in Fatah called "The Sisters of Dalal," referring to terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who was responsible for murdering 38 Israelis including 13 children.
The choice of Abbas' September 30 speech as the launching point of the murder spree is significant. The very next day was the day that Eitam and Na'ama Henkin were murdered.
Palestinian newspapers are quoting this statement.
At the same time that the media is claiming that Abbas is condemning violence, the organization that he leads is bragging that he is inspiring the murders of Jews.

So, somewhere along the line, a Guardian editor decided – in spite of the clear sequence of events described in the lead passage – that the death of the Palestinian terrorists was the most important element of the story. Two Palestinians stabbed Israeli women in a mini-market in a West Bank settlement before being shot dead, Israeli police said.

Fatah says Mahmoud Abbas inspired Palestinians to start their murder spree

The historic speech of the President in the UN constituted a turning point and a new dawn which manifested itself in the popular uprising, “The Rage of Jerusalem”, that started in the capital Jerusalem and expanded to Hebron and (to the other) the provinces of the homeland, in a heroic and spectacular implementation which restored to the national cause its radiance and status, as all the crimes of the occupation failed to hurt it and deter it, and the popular uprising even succeeded in spreading terror and bringing about a lack of personal security for the colonists, and the streets of Jerusalem and the Palestinian (West) Bank became places of constant friction and clashes…

Throwing shadows in our eyes, it leaves us helpless”

That’s how we feel, those of us not in Israel now, we feel helpless. We have friends, colleagues and dear ones, all subjected to the ongoing Islamic Jihad. We feel helpless to stop it and words fail when a dear one from the Israeli Jewish Community is struck down.
Another Jewish woman succumbed to her wounds today from a stabbing attack yesterday. Hearing the news our hearts are broken again.
According to Israel National News:
Shlomit Krigman, a 24-year-old woman who was stabbed during yesterday’s terror attack in Beit Horon, has died of her wounds. Dotors at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital worked diligently to save her, but were unable to do so.A statement from the Beit Horon community noted that “Shlomit was loved and well-known. She did her National Service with Bnei Akiva in Beit Horon. During the last year Shlomit lived with her grandfather and grandmother in the community.”—-Yesterday afternoon, two terrorists stabbed Krigman. They then tried to enter a nearby store but were pushed out by the owner, who held a shopping cart between himself and the attackers. Once the two realized that they would not be able to get into the store, they ran towards another woman and stabbed her before running off.The second victim, a 58-year-old woman with moderate stab wounds to her upper body, is still being treated at Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital. Doctors say that her condition is improving.A nearby security guard shot and killed the two terrorists at the scene.
There won’t be any fanfare. No “Stand with Israel Against Islamic Terrorism” flags on Facebook, because this was a Jewish woman in Israel and according to world opinion, she must have deserved it. Did she live over that imaginary “green line” in a “settlement”? If she did, well then it was justified wasn’t it? A world ignorant of history believes these heinous lies.
What a sick and evil world we live in where a young Jewish woman in Israel is attacked and murdered by Islamic Jihadists. Where she is blamed for her own death and it is ignored in the mainstream media.
Antisemitism is alive and well and nobody gives a damn. Where have we seen that before?
Goodbye, Shlomit. Your family will never meet your future husband or your children. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you, and those who didn’t.
