Palestinian woman shot after stabbing Israeli's in Jerusalem.

The woman approached a Jewish man from behind and stabbed him in the upper body near the Lion’s Gate in Jerusalem, police spokeswoman Luba Samri told AP. The details of the attack are not yet clear. Earlier, information emerged that the assailant, a Palestinian woman, was critically wounded. According to Yeshiva World News, the attacker was shot dead on the spot.
Several reports in the Israeli media said the man was able to respond and shot his attacker.

One of the students was shot in his chest and was in a serious condition and the other was shot in his leg, Frahneh told NBC News. A 38-year-old woman driving in the same area was "lightly wounded" after her car was pelted with stones by attackers who tried to drag her from the vehicle, Israel police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. She was able to flee before security forces arrived, Rosenfeld said, adding that seven cars were damaged in the area.

The Israeli shooter claims “she tried to stab him,” while eyewitness’s accounts contradicted his allegation.

The Israeli police alleges the young woman “stabbed the settler in the neck, and tried to escape, before he shot her”.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said the wounded girl, from Sur Baher in Jerusalem, did not carry a knife, or a weapon, and that the Israeli assailant was harassing and insulting her, near Bab al-Majles (The Council Gate) before removing her hijab, covering her head, and shot her when she tried to push him away.

In related news, a Palestinian woman suffered various cuts and bruises in her head and shoulders after the soldiers repeatedly attacked her, in her home, in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood, in Jerusalem's Silwan town.

The woman, Suad Abu Ramouz, lost consciousness, and was moved to a hospital for treatment, where she regained consciousness, and received six stitches.

The soldiers invaded her home to remove Palestinian flags, raised on its rooftop.

In addition, the army closed Bab al-Amoud, Bab as-Sahera and Bab as-Asbat, preventing the Palestinians from crossing, and pushed dozens of additional soldiers into the Old City.

She didn't stab anyone, the man didn't have a mark on him, and he was facing her trying to pull her headscarf off, there is a video that I can't tranfer unfortunately.   He shot he after he had pushed her over and she was laying on the ground.

It is interesting anyway because there have been a few reports of people stabbing others, and then witnesses saying that there was no knife. That happened re the burka-clad woman as well. There was a photo of a knife on the ground, but a witness said she had no knife. It's not possible to make a judgement about it because she was wearing a burka, and could have hidden the knife under there.

Actually Rags, there is a video of that as well and at all times she was the other side of a 5ft metal barrier.  She was murdered, pure and simple, then left to bleed on the floor and the ambulance was not allowed through for 40 minutes.  When she was put in the ambulance, they took her clothes off to examine her, the IDF man who went in the ambulance photographed her and put it on Facebook, where Israelis poked fun at the fact she had not shaved her legs!

I think the only way people can judge for themselves is to see the whole thing really, or decide who is a reliable witness and who isn't.

In fact, in those photos, she is on different sides of the barrier in two photos.

Because she didn't understand Hebrew, this picture is on the link I gave you, this man was telling her what to do to back out of the checkpoint because she didn't want to take her veil off.

Yes, there's a photo of a knife, but it could be from anywhere.

Same items are in the other picture sassy has posted if you look at both, which if she got that close, it is clear she did try to attack.
What would be needed to be seen is how close she was when she was shot.

So is that short fence thing the barrier? I can't see a 5ft barrier.

I mean even if you look at the other video the IDF soldiers are clearly stating a warning, and she has her back to the camera or to the side so there is no way to tell if she did have a knife, but if where it is in the photo I showed, it is very possible the if she did have a knife and then attacked, that they waited until she got that close.

Ah, I thought I'd missed a video - Sassy said there was a video of the incident. I have found a video of the aftermath, but not the actual incident.

It's a bit difficult to picture the actual place where it happened tbh.

I think some people would say that the knife was planted actually. I wouldn't say that, but without a video of the incident, anything is possible.

Agreed and its difficult to say either way.
I have to try and think from the position of the IDF soldiers, if you had someone approach you and after warning they ignore your warnings.
Though the question to ask is if they fired any warning shots in the air, if as sassy claims she could not understand hebrew.
Though even then most IDF know some basic arabic, so I am not really convinced over the claim to not to understand, that seems not very credible. It could even be a case she was not armed, but deliberately made the IDF believe she was a threat in order that she would end up being shot seeking martydom. Again many possibilities which if this was the reason its harder to prove and makes the IDF look guilty of murder.

Also, it's a bit difficult to put your hands up if you're wearing a burka, and you could conceal anything underneath, which might make some soldiers a bit twitchy.

The place where's she lying, having been shot, isn't very near the place where the knife was allegedly found. That's a bit suspicious.

Completely agree, its easy to say here in hindsight but being placed in the IDF position with at this year there has been a number of attacks, who is to say how we would react.
