Sources said he was beaten “to within an inch of his life” and the attack sparked concerns he had been targeted by Islamist fanatics.
It is now believed the incident followed a row over a cigarettes debt.

The review found a “concerning trend of Islamic radicalisation amongst the prison population with a consequent risk of violence towards former service personnel”.It said: “Some of those in custody who had served in the Armed Forces spoke of their reluctance to self-identify for fear of reprisal from other prisoners accordingly.“Whilst this evidence is anecdotal, more robust research must be undertaken by the Ministry of Justice to investigate this issue, along with the targeting of former service personnel by extremist right-wing organisations seeking recruits.”

2) There has been a continuing growing problem in prisons with intimidation from extremist Muslims.
3) Why bother wasting tax payers money on these idiots and not just deport them as they have no wish to conform to British society?
