Name that quote
It's a game where you throw out one of those random quotes stuck in your brain from a movie, show, book, game etc. and see if anybody can guess the source.
I have the feeling this will be one of those threads where I start it, then nobody responds, so I walk to my window, silently close the blinds and shed a single tear ...
What? OK, here's my quote (really just a snippet of a line):
"... resplendent in his black-jeweled battle-shorts ..."

All those things I can do. All those powers. And I couldn't even save him.

Oh crap, that one is right on the tip of my tongue ... I'm going to have to google it and thus disqualify myself from answering

Nice job, Cantankerous! As to your quote, again -- ringing bells but the brain isn't interpreting the ringing ...
Edit: oops, looks like codemaster got it too. This site is a-hoppin' ...

Re: Name that quote
I googled it, can't be the one to answer ... good quote though!
Here's a rather inspiring one (at least to me):
"Insanity is being shit on, beat down, coasting through life in a miserable existence when you have a caged lion locked inside and a key to release it."

I wouldn't know, watched one Dirty Harry film and avoided any other cop or cowboy ones he did. Boring as hell.

You would have to respect Clint Eastwood for his acting and directing abilities but Arnie?....He just grates..Crap actor and politician! (even his son can't stand him)

Arnie always plays Arnie. Clint is a good director but I lost respect for him after what he did to Sondra Locke, Sly can't act at all, although he's not a bad bloke. When you think of all the wonderful actors there are of that generation, to pick them out as the outstanding actors is quite sad.

Man, I'm not getting any of these! Except the knife one, that's practically the national motto of Australia to us Americans ...
OK, here's a good one -- not because it's well-worded or anything, but because in context, it's not what you expect the character to say and thus becomes memorable (hope that's not too much of a hint):
"I know."

I don't know it Bee - you'll either have to tell me or let somebody else come up with the answer.
