Puppy abandoned in a dumpster with two broken legs
Santa Rosa Junior College police are looking for whoever abandoned a Chihuahua puppy in a trash bin with two broken legs, officials said.
On the morning of Oct. 27., an employee at the school on the 1500 block of Mendocino Avenue found the injured pup in a garbage receptacle in the Bech parking lot, Santa Rosa Junior College police officials said.
The employee scooped up the injured pooch and took it to a nearby pet hospital where vets diagnosed the suffering animal with two broken front legs.
Workers at the hospital notified Sonoma County Animal Services, who took in the pup and are looking into who hurt it and tossed it in the bin as if it were garbage, officials said.
Campus police were notified the following day and are lending a hand in the investigation, but the dog had no collar or microchip, police said, and whoever abandoned the pup remains a mystery.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the parking lot around when the dog was found to contact Sonoma County Animal Services Officer Justin Ofster at (707) 565-7100.

...The employee scooped up the injured pooch and took it to a nearby pet hospital where vets diagnosed the suffering animal with two broken front legs....
That's disgusting as basic first aid says a patient with suspected broken bones should not be moved.

I hope the bastard who did it walks under a bus - and lives so he can feel the pain.

Oh dear, just seen this reply from Veya.
ALL fractures should be handled carefully as UNDUE MOVEMENT may cause further damage to surrounding blood vessels or organs.
Casualties with fractures should be treated initially at the site of the accident/incident,warned to LIE STILL ,and not to be moved until the affected part has been properly immobilized, unless life is in danger.
This is basic first aid which I have been taught for over 20 years of military training & it's what I teach as well.
Veya, would you like me to go on?

well personally have traveled over 1000km with a broken ankle before seeking proper medical treatment surely in the military you know injuries don't always happen in ideal places.. and honestly if that was truly an issue pretty much all skaters would be fucked
And dumped in dumpster to die does imply life in danger.
