Removal of MP's

It is now on public record that Cameron Osborne and Gove blatently LIED to the electorate pre election in relation to the reduction in Child tax credits.
All repeated the mantra and lie that there would be no changes after the election.
Is that fraud?
If yes, should the House of Lords or even the Queen have the authority to sack them?

Its a scandal what is going on with this government, I feel particularly for the sick and disabled being punished relentlessly and sickens me how they protect their own. Anybody who has the chance to fiddle this government do it, because they sure as hell fiddle us right left and centre.

Tax credits are a rip off of The tax payer.


Far too many people get far too much money given to them through the existing system.


This needs changing and I'm glad these proposals are going through!

You glad people who ARE working but earning LESS of than a living wage will lose credits they get that encourage people to work?

If wages rose to make up for it then great, but they won't.

But, think about it, businesses have been laughing all the way with mass influx of cheap labour keeping wages low, plus they know that they can get away with it because the govt has also been picking up the tab through subsidising people with hand outs in tax credits!!!


WHen will you lefties do joined up thinking and realise that mass immigration is the root cause for the huge rises in costs of living and the suppression of wages here...!?


I know someone who gets tax credits who has plenty of luxuries, nice car, latest games consoles, big screen tv etc, and is also buying themselves a house!


Why should taxpayers be giving them money when they can afford to buy a house?

When they lied ,they should be held to account.. As a minimum,suspended ,investigated and possibly charged with defrauding the public purse.
Until that is stamped out,it will continue.

Yes I do believe the example in the sun... there was another example too where a woman did only a few hours work a week but got nearly £20k in tax credits and other benefits...


Taxpayers money should not be handed out to people who are unskilled and or cheap labour etc and or only does a few hours a week, so they are getting as much as someone who is a skilled worker who does a full weeks work.


It is just plain wrong!!!

I got notified on Facebook that this story is another urban myth generated by the Sun on behalf of the Tory party press office.

I do not think this is possible unless she has exceptional circumstsnces - lots of kids , disabilities etc. Perhaps she needs a mobility car for example..

The story was in the paper on the day I posted about it.


The story was angled at telling us how much worse off people would be after the proposed changes and was saying it was unfair etc.


But having looked at the figures, my question remains... one of The examples xas of a woman who worked and got £350 take home a week and who got another (nearly) £15,000 a year in tax credit/child tax credit related benefits!


The other example was a woman who worked in a library part time earning about £7,500 a year and she was getting around £20,000 extra a year in tax credit/child tax credit related benefits!

On the calculator link I put in...


SIngle
16-23 hours work a week
£7000 a year earnings
3 children
None blind or other disabilities
2 paying childcare for
Pay average of £200 a week on childcare

Result showed £380.55 a week in tax credit benefits was claimable!!!


Then I put in The other woman example in The sun...

Single
WOrking 30+ hours a week
Earning 18000
3 children
2 paying childcare for
Average £200 a week

Result showed can claim total of £309 a week!!!


That means that although she earns £18000 a year, she can get an additional tax free handout of £16,068 in benefits!!!


So boosting her yearly income up to £34,000 a year!!!

And it's really even more than that if you remember that £16k of that is tax free... so equivalent to over £40 grand a year!!!!!



I honestly think that some of you people here have absolutely no idea about The reality of what is going on...!!!

Brealdown the benefits in respect of tax credits which is what Cameron said they wouldn't reduce and we'll go on from there.

Cameron also said he wouldn't be bringing in gay marriage... do you think this should be stopped too then...!?
