Re: Quick reminder
Really, I don't mind slight re-writes on headlines/titles, but they should be informative. Threads like "Bloody hell!" tell the rest of us nothing and are kind of cheap, an obvious ploy to get clicks.
In news articles, I think it's cool to include links to different media outlets, along with photos and video if you can find it. It takes longer, but it's fun for the reader.
I know there's a temptation to just drop a link when you're sharing a story from The Independent, but I've seen very few stories there that aren't covered by other news outlets. Which is kind of ironic if you think about it

Ok
So this doesn't make sense
As I posted the full news story with the link
I changed the title to a relevant one
But it was still changed to something that didn't even make sense!

Re: Quick reminder
Okay found the link and have put an explanation on there.
I'll just remind you, and anyone else, that when the poster BigAndy9 was a member, he often posted news stories with his own titles (which were often his opinion) and we had a little uproar from other posters about it.
Hence the rule that news stories should carry a title that explains the story - using the actual tile that the newspaper or media use is best.
Hope that clears that up.

Re: Quick reminder
I don't think anyone on here is a robot SM.
I think you reported and complained about BigAndy's threads yourself?
They weren't all considered racial - but they were confusing and misleading about the actual story.
It doesn't matter does it? The essence of a thread is still the same.
No one has changed your opinion.

I thought he was OK. He's not here anyway, so there's no need for you to be abusive about him.

It doesn't matter if the thread is made by someone you love, hate, fancy or tolerate.
It's irrelevant.

Re: Quick reminder
That's not irony?
The thread had a typing or C&P error SM.
It really wasn't anything to get overly defensive and overly angry about.
Anyway, off to look at eBay, really have got into looking as Whitefriars glass and Murano glass lately, beautiful looking.
