Nems' favourite programme is BACK!
Now in its twelfth series, this year we’re set to be introduced to yet another ‘X Factor’ judging line-up with the introduction of Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw to the panel.
They’ll join Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in giving a thumbs up or down to the latest batch of singing wannabes
Let’s face it, we've all sat watching the show thinking we could do a better job than all four judges put together - but which of the line-up are you most like?
Would you take Simon's brutally honest approach or be a little more touchy- feely like Cheryl and cry at the drop of a ballad?
Or maybe you'd be more like newbies Rita Ora or Nick Grimshaw?
Well, wonder no more, dear readers because we've got the technology and science* to tell you just that.
*that'll be a personality quiz, then...
Play here........... http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/08/26/x-factor-quiz_n_8042286.html

I'm Simon Cowell apparently. It's a good job really because I don't know anything about Rita Ora, and I don't even know who Nick Grimshaw is.
I wouldn't have minded being Cheryl though.

Why is Ollie Murs a presenter? The X Factor seems to be a way for people to just become famous for no apparent reason now.

Perhaps his taxky, over-played, tuneless and pointless pop songs aren't making him enough money?

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini says body-shaming should be made illegal as she's worried for the next generation of women
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has spoken out against the cruel remarks she has faced on social media, saying that body shaming is "bulls**t" and that she wants it to be made illegal.
In July, during filming for The X Factor, Fernandez-Versini had to personally defend her size after someone on her Instagram called her a ‘bag of bones’. She said she was sick and tired of a culture where it was ‘acceptable’ to body shame thinner women.
Speaking to ES Magazine, she said: “Body shaming has to stop. It’s bulls**t. Something has to be done, changed, even if it’s done in law.”
Fernandez-Versini said her weight-loss - not that it’s anyone’s business - was down to the stress and grief she suffered after her father-in-law passed away.
“I am very happy and very healthy. Every woman has a different body type and and handles stress and grief differently,” she told the magazine. Referring to the way her physique is criticised in the media, she said that she had grown more resilient after being in the public eye for so long.
“I can take whatever they [the press] throw at me after 13 years, what worries me is what it’s doing to the younger generation. And some of the people writing this stuff are women. There is no sisterhood.”
At the time, she said she was sick of people thinking it was okay to body shame her.
“Have some respect and maybe think there may be reasons before opening your mouth please.”

What time is X factor judges' houses on tonight? Plus the cruel twist awaiting contestants
It's judges houses weekend, and finding out who goes through is going to be particularly stressful
How is this year different from previous years?
This year, in an extra cruel twist, the contestants weren't told who was going through to the live shows while staying at the judges houses, but instead had to wait until this weekend, when the judges will make their decision live.

I haven't been watching the X Factor all this time, but I did a bit of catching up the other day. I'm liking Che - he's a soul boy. I'd like to see him do some more "old school" soul though with a Motown beat. He sounds a little bit like a cross between Guy Sebastian and Amy Winehouse at times.
It all seems a bit more rushed this year - they didn't used to do so many eliminations every week did they?

Re: Nems' favourite programme is BACK!
Thank goodness Che's still in with a chance. I really hope he doesn't do ballads though. He has a good voice, but it's really his style which will take him through. He needs something uptempo with a soul sound to it IMO where he can show off his range as well.
Reggie and Bollie are fun I guess but they seem the same to me every week. Louisa has a good voice, as did Lauren, but do we need another wailing woman doing a load of ballads?
I always think that it's not enough to have a great voice on the X Factor. The exception to that was Joe McElderry, who I thought could rely on his voice alone.

Che and Louisa both have great voices and I'm sure will have careers ahead of them
You're right, Reggie and Bollie are fun and I think we could all do with a lot more fun these days!

It's got to be my age then, the Women sing like a cat with it's tail caught in a door.
Why do they have to scream the words?''
In the " OLD SONGS" you had words that rymed and the song told a "story"
Song that were written in the sixty's are still being song today.
There's not one song out today that will be remembered in 50 yrs time.
But there's hundreds of songs that are still played today that are 50yrs old or more.
[ My Wife says i'm a miserable old bugger] but i'm right ------aren't I?

I agree Nicko. All these screeching women sound much the same to me. I've noticed that a lot of them are trying to sound like Amy Winehouse these days - that's when they're not trying to sound like Yanks.

Absolutely spot on Nicko
Songs today have no melody or story, it's a drum beat and a wail over the top

Just to add....I hope Cheryl used to be Cole is not going down the same path as Karen Carpenter, she now looks as if she weighs about the same.

Yeah. I thought she was made up to look rather frail - pale face and lipstick, etc. She looked better in the results show.
I like that kind of show in theory - Pop Idol was good. I think there's too much production now - all those backing singers and dancers, and the life histories go on and on too long, and all those visits home - I only want to know if they can sing and perform. Also, I really can't bear all those adverts on ITV - they have them every five minutes, and it really puts me off.

The ads are ridiculous....and the charity ads that are played most of the time are driving me mad too.
I record most stuff now and skip through the ads....it's the best way to not be tempted to throw stuff at the TV.
I thought throughout this series it had lost something, some of the contestants did have talent, but it was just so manipulative. Also Nick Grimshaw and Oli Murrs were wrong for the show....and I cant stand that shrieking Flack woman either.

I didn't watch it this year. I watched one of the live shows and predictably, it had a stupid act made up of two blokes that jumoed around and sang flat, a wailing ballad shrieker and a couple of good singers.

Those two blokes did pretty well eddie.
I get bored with the wailing ballad shriekers too. Every year it's the same story - they all want to be like Whitney.

It was more their style which people liked I guess.
One of my favourite contestants on the X Factor a few years ago was Alisha Bennet, and she used to go out of tune sometimes.
