Camerons plan to keep UK in the EU revealed in leaked note
Leaked note suggests Cameron's 'firm aim' to stay in EU
It said the note suggested Mr Cameron believed "people will ultimately vote for the status quo if the alternatives can be made to appear risky".
The leaked note suggests Mr Cameron is planning to focus his EU referendum campaign on the "risky" consequences of a British exit.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-33285893
So basically scaremongering the British people into voting to stay in!
Unbelievable!!!

It was always going to be that way... the response from the eu is you are not getting out and we are not helping you, so he has to push to stay in...

Why is it that nobody can give us any real good reasons for being in the EU and The only case to stay in is based on scaremongering that the sky will fall in if we left!?

Mission creep has been happening for 40 years with the EU and if we don't vote to get out now then it will be all over for our country and our democracy.

Cameron and others wish to stay in the EU because when their time in office is over they will be able to get well paid positions in Brussels. Look no further than the Kinnocks.

If people aren't persuaded by the in vote then they will vote to leave.
Whatever arguments are presented by both sides are fair as long as they are supported. Would you prefer only the out vote to get its say monk?
I though you supported democracy?

He hasn't lied.
He said we'd get a referendum and we will.
He is entitled to be part of whichever side of the vote he chooses- he never said 'Vote Tory and we'll campaign to get to us out of the EU'.
He said we'd get a referendum, and a referendum we will get.

You obviously didn't understand the planned tactic to get people to vote to stay in.
Not presenting any positive case for staying in, mainly because theid isn't any, but just scare the British people enough so they don't vote for change.

Absurd reasoning.
There will be plenty of people presenting leaving the EU.
What you are again claiming is absurd.
UKIP have constantly used fear as their propaganda to entice support. So I do find that funny, that you will also be promoting a view of fear and attempt to scare people to leave.
Nobody is going to be silenced from presenting the case to leave.

Re: Camerons plan to keep UK in the EU revealed in leaked note
Dodge... there are many positive reasons to leave and they will be presented as they have been already in the past.
There are little or no positive reasons to stay in and the planned tactic is not to try to present any positive reasons to stay in, as I've already said there isn't any, but to just scare people enough that the sky will fall in and doom and gloom etc so the British people are too sacred to vote for change.
This is Camerons planned tactic as said so in the leaked note.

Re: Camerons plan to keep UK in the EU revealed in leaked note
Again there is no trick.
That is abusrd and there will be daily views and studies thrown in from both sides as we near the time to vote.
Its like you are already creating an excuse for if the public vote to stay in the EU. That you can then claim this invention you created today that has no validity.
Both sides will do their best to sway people and it will be both using fear most.

Dodge there are no positive reasons to stay in the EU, scaremongering doom and gloom stories if we leave.
Pointing out the bad things about being in the EU is obviously going to be put forward as well as the positive benefits of leaving.
What positive reasons are there for staying in?
The £55 million a day we have to pay in?
Open door to half a billion people?
The common fisheries policy?
The common agricultural policy?
75-80% of our laws, rules and regulations being dictated to us by EU?
Our complete loss of sovereignty and democracy?
Our inability to stop foreign criminals and terrorists from coming here and inability to remove them?
The lack of borders across Europe that allows the build up of illegal immigrants at Calais?
I can't think of any positive reasons to be in the EU... can you?

Re: Camerons plan to keep UK in the EU revealed in leaked note
I m not debating the EU belief whether to stay in or out on any of my points. So why are you?
My post was in regards to your absurd view about your invented belief to tactics.
So you only really posted this not because of Cameron's view, but to start yet another needless threat about the EU, where you will argue the same poor points, dragged out for days. We are going to have plenty of time to debate this topic later on when more information and studies have been made.
So by your change in what you want to talk about, you clearly have conceded your original claims to Cameron's tactics etc.
Have a good evening

Surely the pro EU people can produce some positive reasons for staying in rather than just scaring people with lies about the sky falling in if we left?

What about the free trade agreement and the Customs Union in which we currently opearte. Almost all countries are signed up in regional trading blocs but you want to leave us marginalised and on our own.
Start with that.

The argument for a basic and loose arrangement on trade and cooperation does not justify everything else the EU has evolved into by mass power grab.
