Report: Hamas discussing 5-year truce
The truce proposal, which is backed by both Qatar and Turkey, is based on an outline formulated by UN special envoy to the Middle East Nikolay Mladenov, according to Israel Radio. Israeli media reported that leading Hamas member Abu Marzouk arrived in Doha from Gaza on Saturday and held a series of meetings with Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, who lives in Qatar, as well as other senior officials in the organization. The truce proposal is said to stipulate that Israel allow the construction of a floating sea port off the Gaza coast, to be subject to Israeli or international supervision. In return, Hamas would agree to cease fire for five years, with the possibility of extending it.

It would be a good start moving forward if this happens.

Off the coast of Gaza, so why the fuck should Israel be allowed to control it? And doesn't it say a lot that in Gazan waters Israel are condescending to maybe 'allow' it. Perhaps we should have to get France's permission to build on the South Coast.

Again go back in time to 2005 when Gaza had Israel withdraw.
Instead of building a nation, Hamas chose war with Israel.
Why does Egypt also blockade Gaza Sassy?
Does it have to do with terrorism by any chance.
You see, here was have a road forward and yet you still cannot praise that, which speaks volumes about how clearly you do not want peace.
@Dibs, you are welcome

Hamas build a nation in 2005? You do realise Hamas wasn't in power in 2005. And when did sanctions against Gaza start and limitation on movement? Everyone wants peace, but Israel wants control - permanently. That is shown by them still thinking they should control the waters around Gaza, and Gazans should only be able to do things if Israel allows it.

Yes I know Hamas never came to power in 2005 Sassy, but they still orchestrated as did others violence from Gaza against Israel, the point you miss. The complete withdrawal of Gaza finished in Sept 2005. So again you only see one of a problem. If Israel wanted control, then why would it leave Gaza and pull out its settlements there? That proves your claim is very much unfounded. There is no denying they are trying to gain areas of the West Bank through settlements, of which are very wrong, but these are founded on poor Zionism beliefs and a view of defense. Again at every turn it is the Palestinians through Hamas and Fatah that create these problems. If Hamas prove they want peace and recognize Israel instead of wanting to eradicate them, and prove this, then Israel would have no cause to keep a blockade. Again this is positive news and yet you try argue otherwise.
That speaks volumes about you Sassy
