It will run square into the First Amendment prohibition on press censorship.  To say 'we're not going to abridge freedom of speech,' and then go right ahead and do precisely that...is not going to cut it.  The First Amendment, along with the Commerce Clause, is the most powerful constitutional provision going.

May even have some freedom of religion issues, as well.  You are talking about antisemetic speech, and that means discussing Judaism.  To censor, or urge free speech about religion is a double bad.

But these are the meth-Republicans, in control of Congress.  Next they may award Rush Limbaugh the Congressional Medal of Honor for heroism in the face of battle.

Nothing to do with Republicans but Americans Quill and how as seen Fatah and Hamas clearly are not looking for peace with such Rhetoric. Lets be honest the only reason Hamas is looking for peace with Israel at the moment is because it has a conflict within Gaza itself with ISIS supporters. I bet you if within a short time ISIS gains the upper hand it will be Hamas pleading Israel for help. Now how ironic would that be?

HAMAS is in trouble, admittedly. It is an arm of Iran, yet Gaza has taken it on as a political party. With the tail wagging the dog, that could well break it apart.

Incidentally, what is so wrong with ISIS? If that's what they want, it would be undemocratic to deny it to them. I think it is about time we start thinking of ISIS as the good guy, and Iran as problematical.

I will answer this before I go.
The problem with your view to say what is wrong with ISIS based on something as bad, is trying to claim levels of danger as if a Tiger is more dangerous than the lion if both were on the loose within people. In neither case the choice is not with each animal to be let loose and there was no democracy in allowing them loose on people. Nazi Germany was actually democratically voted into power and yet it was a real threat to the stability of the world. When something is a real genuine threat, then that threat has to be neutralized before it gets out of control to the point it becomes uncontrollable.

ISIS is neither a choice or democratic, it is being forced onto many people by the barrel of a gun. They want to install a religious Theocracy onto people where they have no choice to decide and follow such an extreme ideology that happily justifies the most unspeakable acts of violence unto who its constitutes as an enemy. Which happens to be any Non-Muslim and Muslim of the later not following their ideology of Wahhabism. Iran is little different where again it claims to be democratic yet it has always crushed any opposition to its theocratic rule with violence. Both stand in the way of freedom of thought, liberty and conscience. When something is a natural threat to the lives of others, which is very much against the well being and equality of others. Then the natural thing to do, is to neutralize or contain that threat. To allow that genuine threat to go unhindered, would spell disaster as it already has for the many victims of their abusive acts. The world is too afraid to act though because it wrongly fears more Muslims would be drawn to this cause of extremism, due to past mistakes in conflicts there. That philosophy is a mistake also, as now this threat is neither being contained or neutralized. 

I get your point that you believe they should be left to fight it out, allow each to weaken themselves, but that philosophy and strategy is also flawed. At present neither is powerful enough yet to reek havoc on the rest of the world, but if one gains dominance, then within a short time, they will gain dominance over the majority of the Muslim world and will be a far greater problem to deal with. People need to wake up and realize this before its too late. If they allow this to spiral out of control, not only many Muslims are going to suffer through this conflict, but then so will many Non-Muslims where there is no democracy, but Theocratic control on a much larger scale and with a much bigger powerful coalition of Muslim nations.
