Pop songs covered in different styles
Got curious about this and found some gems
Here's Radiohead's "Creep" -- Tejano style:
An actually really professional version of Lorde's "Royals" done Reggae style:

Some might have heard Fountain of Wayne's soft alt-rock version of Britney Spears' 'Baby One More Time'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6g4t93uuus
And finally a real gem, Willie Nelson's country-ish take on Coldplay's 'The Scientist'

It's cool to see people doing something totally different with familiar music. There's even a band that makes hybrids of Beatles and Metallica songs (basically stitching the parts that fit together) called Beatallica. Kind of weird, but it's an interesting idea. I also like some of the mashups people come up with:

The Joe Cocker version always reminds me of the TV show the "Wonder Years". Something I loved watching growing up in my teens.

I like it when people do rap classics in other styles. Here's The Beastie Boys' classic 'Paul Revere'
Austin weirdos Asylum Street Spankers reimagined it as a rockabilly song:

One of my favourite singers - Linda Lewis - did a great disco version of It's in his kiss.
Quite different to Betty Everett's earlier Shoop Shoop version.

I never even knew that disco version existed! How cool.
You reminded me of a couple things -- one, the "cover" of Bach's Minuet in G Major ...
... as a great Motown classic 'Lover's Concerto' by the Toys:
And of Cake's rock interpretation of the disco classic "I Will Survive" --

Almost as much as I like the Jurassic Park Theme performed by that guy with the melodica
That's funny, I'd never heard that cover
