Let me start by identifying the argumentum ad attritio -- the fallacy that if you're the last person still talking in a thread, that means you won the debate Smile

A few others:

Argumentum ad Sperlingus: The fallacy that because a member is defending a particular group of people, that person must belong to the group.

Argumentum ad facio medieval: The fallacy that because someone says a criminal's punishment is too harsh, they think the crime in question should be legal.

Argumentum ad Jacobi: The fallacy that if a member posts a story that portrays a member of a certain race, religion, nationality, etc. in a positive/negative light, that means the member loves/hates every member of that race, religion, nationality, etc.

Any others?

Depends how you would define getting a life? What you might define as life could be the most inane dullest experience known to humanity or it could be one where you have a sense of humour. Where like here for example, where the thread was intended with having a sense of humour on how to debate. I guarantee that lump of coal that has been firmly wedged up your arse, has now turned to a diamond. Do yourself a favour and take it out for your own sake.

How about, if you think something that must mean you can never, ever change your mind about it?

Or

You can be somewhere in between two opposing views as the world isn't black and white??
