Thousands of people gathered on the banks of the River Mersey in Liverpool to watch three cruise liners mark the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Cunard shipping line.

The Queen Mary Two, the Queen Victoria, and the Queen Elizabeth performed a series of manoeuvres on the river.

What a wondeful sight that is as the 3 Queens sail up the Mersey. Cunard are probably the most famous shipping line in the world and Liverpool was exactly the right place to celebrate the event. It's a fantastic city full of many good people and treasures about Britosh maritime history.
