Palestinians helped free Swedish monks held by Nusra
Key members within the intelligence bureau of the Palestinian Authority were instrumental in the safe release of two Swedish monks who were taken hostage by Jabhat al Nusra, the al Qaeda affiliate in Syria.
The report explained how the Palestinians wanted to give back to the Swedish state as a way to thank them for recognizing Palestine as a sovereign nation.
The process was long and drawn out, it required a great deal of secrecy according to the report. When the hostages were freed they expressed their gratitude to the Palestinians for freeing them.
