Ed Sheeran Moves Bride To Tears With Surprise Wedding Performance
When Matt and Kya Debono of Sydney, Australia were unable to fund the wedding of their dreams, local radio station KIIS 1065 hosts Kyle and Jackie O decided to step in to give the happy couple a big day to remember -- with a little help from Ed Sheeran.
First, the hosts asked Matt and Kya to come in for a radio segment where Matt explained their struggles, saying that Kya's mother had taken her own life a few years earlier.
“Unfortunately this tragic event happened and it’s just put so much on Kya. She’s bringing up two lovely kids and trying to keep us all afloat,” Matt said, before Kyle and Jackie O surprised them with news they'd be given a $60,000 dream wedding sponsored by the Sydney Bridal Expo.
But that perfect wedding isn't where the story ends. During the reception, Sheeran made a surprise appearance to sing in person the song the couple had picked for their first dance. With a big smile and a "Happy wedding day!" wish for the newlyweds, he performed his romantic single "Thinking Out Loud" for the tearful crowd.
Talk about a perfect day!
