Would anyone like a history section or any other specialist section?
I've noticed that there are a few history threads which are of great interest to a couple of posters.
Anyone like the idea of having a "specialist section" for history, cookery etc?
It could go under science for an example.
Also if there are any other topics of interest - feel free to make a suggestion.
If it's a crap idea feel free to tell me to shut the hell up
I've run it by Ben just waiting for him to wake up from his drunken slumber......and answer

I think a History section would be good; but to avoid ending up with too many small sections I think if we are to add some new ones then those less used should be merged.

Good point, you could merge all five politics sections into one

Brilliant idea
Thanks guys
Just thought it'd be nice
My know, edge of history is so poor, and I think that it might be nice to be able to just go to a section and "learn" something without having to hunt for it.

I like it, but today's my busiest day at work so I couldn't really tackle anything until this evening -- say, within about six or seven hours at the earliest.
I think we at least need Politics - Anglosphere and Politics - World. Thoughts?

Re: Would anyone like a history section or any other specialist section?
I think you're doing a good job covering both politics and news.
This would be more of an "Academics" or "Humanities" section...discussions about timeless things.

Well ... technically religious stuff belongs under Social Issues. But hey, everything's a religion topic these days, even stories about rugby matches.

I would plead with you not to kill your friend.
Commas are the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma" and "Let's eat Grandma."
Actually I'm in the process of moving my stuff out of Veya's room because apparently I'm "too controlling."

My cooking is more Art than Science
Mum says she doesn't know how I can cook with out recipes and minimal measuring of ingredients.
I learnt from my French Grandparents (dad's side) and worked in restaurants while at school/uni
been making Home made Chilli Sauces recently. Got one that is really good
"Mild Ghost Chilli sauce" a little bit of an oxymoron as ghost chillies are insanely hot but I have mixed with milder chillies and tomato and onion to make it palatable to all but the most chilliphobic

Have you tried adding peaniut butter to a curry?
Its yummy
I also have a secret Bolognese sauce passed down to me and my siblings which every one is after once they have tried it. Again it is very rich but so good, no matter how full you are you just want more.

I would like a cooking section too
I think under Arts or Misc
Is cooking an Art?
MAYBE more of a "craft" than an art ?
(AND, what about including 'Health and Fitness' subjects in the same section ~ as these are two topics that get some regular but not frequent attention, as well ?).
That's a good idea - perhaps the cookery and health could be subsections of the science forum?
