Judge's summing up in sentencing Gary Glitter to 16 years

This was on any view a truly appalling offence. An 8 year old child, a friend of your daughter, was an over night guest in your home. You went to the room in which these two little girls were sleeping together in a double bed and you made a determined, although ultimately unsuccessful, attempt to rape her. You did so in the presence, sight and hearing of your own daughter. You caused that child deep harm which has persisted throughout her life. It is difficult to overstate the depravity of this dreadful behaviour.

How many more public figures are guilty of such depravity? Cliff Richards is being investigated and that wouldn't happen unless there were reasonable grounds to do so.

Not many weeks ago we heard about MPs and others who might be guilty of sex crimes but, hey ho, good old government, the files have gone missing! I wonder, what well known public figures are/were on those files. A few shockers I'll bet.
