We have a qualified legal voice on here with Quill who would be able to take us through this without us having to go through all the script in detail to figure out what it all means.

What do you think Quill? What's likely to happen next and how damaging are these papers to Prince Andrew?

I think we have already dealt with this topic back in January or earlier. I talked about some of the legal issues there. Perhaps someone could merge that with this thread.

As I recall back then the issue had not developed enough to tell. First, there's the obvious one of sexual assault on a minor; but the statute of limitations had passed. Second, there was the First Amendment issue of prior restraint on the press. I seem to recall that the way this came out was that Ms. Roberts joined some appeal of some kind, and in her papers she laid out the facts. That pissed the Royals off, because it is legal in America: what is said in pleadings is both public and privileged...that's how it got out.

Ach...I can't remember all of it. Someone with a mod license pull up the old thread and we can get the running narrative going on the legal issues...you know, if interested.
