Sen. Feinstein Cracks Joke About Jeb Bush Candidacy
Why did the Bush cross the road? To get into the White House.
Okay, that’s not a good joke. But Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) cracked a far better one. The rather bizarre Washington D.C. social group, the Alfalfa Club, held its annual dinner Saturday, and there was a great deal of wisecracking. But most of the jokes were timid compared to Feinstein’s, who went for Jeb Bush’s throat. The dinner was closed to the press, but a Politico reporter got quotes from the speakers. According to Politico, it was an “instant classic” when Feinstein cracked,
“Jeb Bush looks like he’s running for president. So now we know what the Bush family means by ‘no child left behind.’”
At the risk of killing the joke by explaining, it deserves to be said that apart from being witty, it’s a great joke because it hits Bush where it hurts./

It's so weird to me that we've got Clinton running against Bush ... that and gas under $2/gallon has me feeling like Nirvana should be coming out with a new album soon
Re: Sen. Feinstein Cracks Joke About Jeb Bush Candidacy
Clinton is strong for 2016. Jeb Bush suffers from the same syndrome that was the reason for his father's one term: weak chin.
Weak chin is a symbolic term, meaning the guy has a flaw in his presentation. Some guys have strong chin, but alas...some don't. It's something in the physical, not the brains or personality. George had good chin, even tho he was dumb as a stone.
Their father (G Herbert Walker) was attractive and intelligent, but he had that preppy, milkquetoast voice. Jeb's great liability is that he has those cherubesque chub-cheeks. He's a cute guy, but unfortunately they make him look like a Gerber baby food ad.
They detract from that commanding look, even though he is qualified head and shoulders above his brother. He makes mothers want to hug him and fathers want to guide him but he doesn't inspire that pazazze that a leader projects.

In general I'd say that's an important factor, but you still have to remember that this guy became president even in the modern age of visual media-driven campaigning:
Come on, you don't tuck in your shirt to play basketball

Who knows from clothes today.
But Obama is one of the most charismatic presidents we have had, and that includes Kennedy. Tall, handsome, well educated and articulate...the guy is an outstanding public figure who is a magnificent public speaker.
His only flaw is the evident self-doubt that comes up occasionally; that, for example, visible in the first debate of the 2012 race. That hesitancy I attribute to the black male syndrome, brought about by parents who caution black children not to be too assertive or self-possessed in the presence of whites. Absent that, he is perfect.
His stature and abilities is the reason why Republicans hate him. Not simply that...but the fact that such qualities, rarely found in any man, should be found in a black man.
Racists that the Republicans and southerners are, it sends them into a frenzy to be confronted with the evidence that indeed a black man can be possessed of such perfect qualities. It destroys everything they ever learned at their white-trash mammy's knee.
It's another example of that 'failure of intelligence' that conservatives are cursed with. If you look at life as struggle, it's another demerrit that they took it that way...I shows weakness. And of course, look...Congress ran away rather than confront such a personally powerful individual. Runners...discount all the talk and look at what you see: they ran.

I'd say he also has the Hesitancy of the Nerd. Might not be transmitted through parents in all cases, but definitely transmitted through culture.

Yep, he does have that look of apprehension.
