Higher employment, lower unemployment, economy growing faster than forecasts and....
"...average wages excluding bonuses rose by 0.6% in the year to June..."

Although high immigration is driving up costs of living and keeping wages down, and has been for years.

Wage growth in shock collapse as unemployment rate continues to fall
Average weekly earnings contract for first time in seven years amid buoyant jobs market
Wage growth suffered a shock collapse between April and June, even as the unemployment rate fell further, official figures showed on Wednesday.
Average weekly earnings dropped 0.2pc in the three months, compared with a year earlier, marking the first fall since 2009, the Office for National Statistics said.
The decline compares with inflation at 1.9pc and will make grim reading for the Chancellor and the Bank of England as consumers find their incomes even more stretched as prices outstrip wage growth.
