Re: Food and Drink Quiz
Gave up a level 5, had too many product that we don't get here and very euro centric..
Fricken Italians... do other Europeans actually believe them when they claim it is different JUST because 1 herb is different? cause here we say Nuh that's still the same sauce.
It's one thing everyone says when the come back from Italy Food is shit they have no idea what variety means and have half dozen dishes with 50 different names.

Re: Food and Drink Quiz
Crashed and burned in level 5, too many British brands I've never heard of ...
Re: Food and Drink Quiz
got to level 7
which was impossible 3 questions about some Rick Stein chef I never heard of and then a question about Apples all 4 varieties listed are not grown in Australia.
And REALLY are most of your apples used for cooking because Most of ours are for eating raw? the question doesn't even make sense to an Aussie.
And Also the answer for ALL the cheeses is Southern highlands to South Australia... we have stolen them ALL who cares which little town in Europe made the inferior original

No, most of our apples are for eating raw, but we have quite a few different cooking ones, and also those for cider making.
Sorry Veya, have eaten Australian cheese, it ranks with Fosters in the league table of food.

@Sassy
umm who drinks fosters? Honestly it is not even for sale here except in tourist bars. If you have had an equivalent Cheese (a cheap export one) than that is really not a fair judgement. keep in mind some things are made to travel 1000's of miles to the markets they will be sold in so Plus we do American varieties too that are always a bit processed.
These are local cheeses
For example
http://woodsidecheese.com.au/
Makes;
Allium Piper
Capricorn
Chevre
Charleston
Duet
Edith
Etzy Ketzy
Figaro
Goat Curd
Goat Milk Feta
Goat on a Hot Tin Roof
Harvest
Lemon Myrtle Chevre
Mandolin
Manon
McLaren
Monet
Pompeii
Rubi
Saltbush Chevre
Tapas
Vesuvius
Vigneron
Swag
(part of the thing about being multicultural is we have someone that knows how to make any type of cheese, the few types that we are a bit warm for can be made in New Zealand)
others makers (there are dozens)

I'm sure they are nice when you have them there, but:
This is a list of cheese from the United Kingdom. The British Cheese Board states that "there are over 700 named British cheeses produced in the UK."[1]
Contents
1 Blue cheeses
2 Hard cheeses
3 Semi-hard cheeses
4 Soft and semi-soft cheeses
5 Other
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_cheeses
Plus there are many farms that make their own cheese, all kinds.

I just like those little triangle things made by Dairylee.
It's a bit of a fuss getting wrappings of but I'm not that fussy anyway
