This Is One of the Craziest Fox News Rants Ever, and It's Not Hannity or O'Reilly
Judge Jeanine Pirro's television career began as the host of a reality courtroom show not unlike Judge Judy or any of the dozens of other knockoffs. But for the last few years, she's become a regular contributor to NBC's Today as well as the host of Justice with Judge Jeanine, Saturday nights on Fox News Channel. Frankly, we hadn't heard of her until this past weekend when she delivered a rant about President Obama and the fiasco in Iraq. Based on the reactions online and in social media, the segment has elevated her within the hierarchy of sociopathic rogues, screechers and former morning zoo deejays in the far-right media.
Pirro's five-minute tirade had everything: finger-wagging, fear-mongering, misinformation, wild conspiracy theories, the phrase "cut and run" and, naturally, ball-shaming. It's a cocktail of Obama Derangement Syndrome delivered with laser-like precision directly into the outrage cortexes of typical Fox News viewers, likely inducing octogenarian white-guy erections with tensile strengths not experienced since Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley and Hume Cronyn splashed around in that magical pool in Cocoon.
Let's [cough] dive in, shall we?

This really made me chuckle at the end:
[ltr]On the far-left, Obama is considered to be a bloodthirsty, drone-addicted war criminal who indiscriminately launches Hellfire missiles at children. On the far-right, he's a flitting dilettante who pals around with terrorists instead of killing them by the bushel. The truth is that in spite of Pirro's boardwalk caricature of Obama, no president has killed more terrorists than this one -- more than 2,000 as of 2013, and that's just the ones killed in drone strikes -- eight times as many as the previous administration. Again, if this is weakness, I have no idea what her standard for strength against terrorists could possibly be, because since the beginning of the global war on terror, Obama is the clear leader in killing the evildoers.[/ltr]
[ltr]As always, Fox News makes it really easy for people like us here at The Daily Banter. Just about every day, a host at the network says something that makes for almost unfairly easy ridicule. But Pirro has set a new bar for fire-eating, not to mention the most easily-debunkable nonsense per sentence of any Fox News host, past or present.[/ltr]

Yeah. These people don't really care about facts. They are legends in their own minds...really, think about it. It's all just going on inside their own cranium.
Are Tories and Republicans mentally ill? Some have argued that extreme conservatism is in fact, a form of mental derangement. Psychology Today magazine has relatively recently written that "Republican pols have recently exhibited 10 telltale signs of mental illness." (Published on June 12, 2012 by Barry X. Kuhle, Ph.D. in Evolutionary Entertainment.)
The only reason they escape criticism--or ridicule, even--is that politics is deemed a legitimate, praise-worthy pursuit and they are viewed as participating.

But argue what? Are you a mother, gerbs? Suppose a mother's group came along and claimed you must kill your first-born in order to have a tranquil family life.
No facts...just like the man in the sky, they just proclaim it. No, proof isn't necessary. Have you no faith? You have to take it on faith.
Now...assuming you were not a member of this group...wouldn't you think it is crazy? Well, now you know how liberals scratch their heads over conservatives and their claims over empirical reality. The world is only 6,000 years old? There is no such thing as global warming? Evolution is a myth?
Or like this nut...saying things that are demonstrably false.

Every once in a while, someone who works for Fox tries to prove they're a real news organization.

Her delivery might be over the top but what exactly was wrong about what she said? Obama has been far too weak on militant Islam, exchanging those 5 high ranking Taliban for a deserter was just the icing on the cake - his support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt was no secret, neither ISIS and friends in Syria. What's scary is that while they might not reach America, they WILL end up in Europe eventually unless stopped dead in their tracks.

government documents indicate more than 500 detainees were released or transferred from Guantanamo while George W. Bush was president. A White House executive order issued on the second day of Obama’s presidency said, “The federal government has moved more than 500 such detainees from Guantánamo, either by returning them to their home country or by releasing or transferring them to a third country.”
That’s backed up by a fact sheet from the military task force that runs the detention camp, which says 520 detainees had been released or transferred by March 2009
And there is to be an inquiry as to whether he deserted and appropriate punishment will follow
conspiracy theories surrounding the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood organization are sometimes put forward by political partisans, particularly those with conservative and counterjihad views. These conspiracy theories include: that the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has been taken over by the Muslim Brotherhood; that the Obama administration is advancing the Brotherhood's goals; and that Huma Abedin, a member of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's staff, is advancing the Brotherhood's agenda.
In July 2012, Representative Michele Bachmann delivered a letter to the State Department's inspector general's office in which she tied Huma Abedin, an aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to the Muslim Brotherhood and stated that the Muslim Brotherhood was directing the Obama Administration's approach to the Middle East. Bachmann's letter also questioned how Abedin was able to receive security clearance.
In response to Bachmann, United States Senator John McCain defended Abedin and said:
Huma represents what is best about America...[she is] the daughter of immigrants, who has risen to the highest levels of our government on the basis of her substantial personal merit and her abiding commitment to the American ideals that she embodies so fully.
McCain also criticized Bachmann's letter, which was cosigned by Republican congressmen Trent Franks, Louie Gohmert and Lynn Westmoreland, as "nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable woman, a dedicated American and a loyal public servant." In addition to McCain, Republican leader John Boehner, and Ed Rollins, who had managed Bachmann's 2012 presidential campaign, criticized Bachmann. Boehner called Bachmann's accusations "dangerous" and Rollins called them "vicious" smears that "reached the late Senator Joe McCarthy level".Senator Lindsey Graham said the charges were "ridiculous" and that Abedin "is about as far away from the Muslim Brotherhood view of women and ideology as you possibly could get". Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) called the comments on Huma Abedinin in "that letter ... the wrong thing to do".[11]
The Anti-Defamation League condemned the letter as well, referring to it as "conspiratorial" and saying that the Representatives involved should "stop trafficking in anti-Muslim conspiracy theories". Middle East scholar Juan Cole sarcastically avered that Bachmann herself might be a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood based on her having previously expressed support for the Mujahideen-e Khalq.
Abedin was subsequently placed under police protection after she received threats of violence, possibly connected to the allegations.
But i guess your new forces motto should be amended
No man left behind unless a black guy in the white house

Let me raise a couple of questions, Puzzler:
Weak on Islam? Why is it the business of the US to be anything, weak or strong, on Islam? The Middle East is half a world away from the Americas. It's none of our business what happens in their world. The last time we made it our business--with nothing but selfish reasons: Oil--we ended up with the longest war in US history, with over 350,000 dead human beings, and $17-trillion in debt. Not a very healthy result for the US, as these things go.
In my studies of political science and international law I learned a lot about geopolitical negotiation. In a protracted war or high tension situation, one must constantly evaluate two questions: (1) Are you putting enough resources into the effort? Or, (2) are you simply adding to sunk costs? That tandem of questions, constantly asked, will inevitably lead you to make more intelligent decisions.
I don't think anybody is going to question if the US put enough resources toward Iraq. Some 350,000 lives and $1.7-trillion is never too much. On the other hand, we must ask whether we threw good resources after 'sunk costs' and was it worth it? The answer is: No, absolutely not. After we realized we had no purpose in Iraq, the answer became patently clear.
If we needed more, consider the so-called surge. Late in the war, the thesis was that if we put into the effort one last push, we could win it all. (Win what? Well, that is another matter.) But even here, we found that as much as we pushed, when we left the opposition simply reoccupied the territory and refilled the glass. It was futile.
This is a creed conflict. Many of you are familiar with my concept of 'creed conflict'...it's when the issue is not about money, prestige or resources...when the issue is soul defining. The Sunni-Shiite civil war is a long time coming, and its more that any of us can control.
Release of Guantanamo detainees: These were men who were never charged, never tried and certainly never convicted. Now, even the most elementary child must ask why they were never charged. We might understand if they were tried and acquitted. We could also certainly understand if they were tried and convicted. But they were never charged with anything.
The resounding conclusion is that they were harmless individuals that were caught up in the war crime sweeps of the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld troika. In the more intelligent atmosphere of the Obama administration, it amounted to nothing to give these guys up. It was truly a win-win situation.
Incidentally, I understand that one of the individual detainees given up in this exchange was a used-car salesman back in Afghanistan. That was the nearest that any of them came to a crime. Lol. He will not reach either America or Europe, but he will be found at Allah's Classic Gems, in downtown Kabul.

Gerbs, you ever read the surveys where they find that Fox News viewers are less accurate about current events than people who don't watch any news channel?
Fox News remains to this day the only news channel created by a political operative with an explicitly political mission statement.
Conservatives only like it because it tells them what they want to hear.
