Re: Welcome back Sassy
Thanks guys, it was simply lovely. Almunecar, Costa Tropical.
Not my picture, haven't got them yet, brother took the camera and sending them. The hotels are on a lovely promenade, places on the beach where they bar-b-q sardines etc, then a circular bus takes you up into the town which is a real Andalucian working town, the food market is amazing, figs the size of big oranges, spices etc. If I ever go again, going to have an apartment just so I can go and buy food from the market, which is open every day. Lots of Moorish influences, never go round to seeing half of it, would love to go back.

No, can't see it from there, but it's a fairly easy drive to Gibraltar from there. Would really love to go back.

Well, having rummaged around in the fridge and found half a red pepper, a couple of cooked new potatoes, some spring onions and a few mushrooms, with the chorizo I'm going to make spanish omlette any minute now. I love chicken and chorizo stew, so might do that later in the week. Don't want OH to be sick of it in a week!

I can't say I'm too into mainland Spain, but southern Spain sounds just perfect !!
reasonable temperatures at the worst times of year and very cosy indeed around now till August/September !
Not to mention it's geographical position for travelling and popping across to North Africa!!
Yet not too long a flight either!
Sounds divine!

Absolutely was! 2 1/2 hrs from Stansted and then 1 hr on the coach. Temperatures about 26 day time, 13 night time.
Now I'm off to make that spanish omlette, might be back latter or might crash out!

Well, happy late birthday! You and Cass have certainly given me some ideas for the chorizo! Trying to hold out and not crash out too early or will be up at silly o'clock tomorrow. They are only one hour ahead of us as it is summer time, but travelling knocks me out.

I didn't hear of one Lovey, but that doesn't mean to say there isn't. Nobody said anything about it though.
