Why Were The Concerns Of English People Ignored? Empty Why Were The Concerns Of English People Ignored?

2nd June 2014

Serious discussion regarding my question only please.

Inspectors have found that a Birmingham school has 'failed to protect' students from Muslim extremists and education chiefs were warned about 'Trojan-Horse' style plots six years ago, it emerged today.

Police, the Government and school inspectors are investigating alleged attempts by radicals to seize control of 20 schools in the city after claims of plot emerged in March.

Ofsted inspectors has reportedly already found one of them was subject to an Islamist takeover and said its 'work to keep students safe is inadequate' and its 'equalities policy is not fit for purpose'.

It has also emerged that Tahir Alam, the alleged Trojan Horse mastermind and chair of governors at a school being probed by Ofsted, has been working as an school inspector himself since 2010.

Education Secretary Michael Gove was accused yesterday of ‘sitting on’ four-year-old warnings that Muslim hardliners were attempting to take over Birmingham schools.

Headteacher Tim Boyes said he cautioned the Department for Education (DfE) in 2010 about governors with a ‘disproportionate impact’ wanting to replace one sitting city head with a Muslim.

He had described a ‘bloodless coup’ at one Birmingham school and ‘an alliance to destabilise the head’ at another – three years before a letter alleging a ‘Trojan Horse’ plot was sent to the council.

Mr Boyes also highlighted ‘aggressive’, ‘intimidating’ and ‘highly organised’ governors that a primary headteacher believed were from a ‘co-ordinated group’ trying to exercise control over a school’s collective worship policy and other issues.

A former teacher at a Birmingham school alleged to be part of an "Islamic takeover plot" says concerns were first raised more than 20 years ago.

Michael White, who was dismissed in 2003 from Park View School, in Alum Rock, said its board of governors was "taken over by a Muslim sect" in 1993.

He said he told the local education authority (LEA) but his claims were not investigated.

Tahir Alam, chair of governors at Park View, denied Mr White's claims.

I would say veya is right - the people in authority have been very very cowardly over the past 20 years.

Well we've caught them lying to us now.
