It must be a song you find hard to listen to eddie. A beautifully written song that I'm sure was so apt for your Mum.eddie wrote:Stephenmarra wrote:Kirsty MacColl - Days

Thanks both of you, it is a beautiful song and Kirsty Mcoll did it justice.
I'd like "You can fly!" From Peter Pan at mine..... "Think of all the things you find when you leave this world behind.....you can fly you can fly you can flyyyyyyyy!"

Squeeze / Pulling Mussels (from the shell) - confession this is on a loop at the grocery store and when it comes on I tend to rock out in the freezer department.

You know Cass, I only heard of them this year, reading an interview where the great Aimee Mann listed them as one of the influences on her latest album "Charmer". I only know this one song of theirs.... based on that, they rock.

I did not know that... Wasn't it Crowded House who wrote that brilliant "You're not the Girl you think you are" song?

Re: 100 Catchy Songs
Gosh, good band albums on vinyl must be worth a fortune. My Dad still has the Planet Suite on vinyl but unfortunately it's very scratched.... It would have sounded great in good condition.

Oh noes!
A singing teacher I know says that the one pop/rock band she really rates is Pink Floyd, because she can see the musical principles behind their song-writing, to a point she thinks they'd have been composers of classical music had they lived in the eighteenth century.

I totally get that. the conception of their albums to include all components is sheer genius.....how the whole comes together - reminds me of Beethoven's symphonies.
