NF Murder Mystery!!...

We don't we have a game on this section where one of us is the misery killer?, although only one of us would be selected as the killer, we would all of course try to convince each other we are the killer!...


Ben and the other admins and the ' killer' be the only posters to know who the Killer is...

The Killer chosen at random by Admin shall recieve a PM To let them know they have been selected as the 'killer' ...

I don't know quite how we would narrow down the detective work though, but the aim would be to see who guessed the correct killer?!!!

Let me know Ben, I can't decide for how the whole game would work, but I just thought the idea was ok ish?..

Maybe when  the killer is PM'd ,then we can all make a post to try to convince others we are the killer...and a bit like a horse, we will each say who we think is the killer and once we say after a day who we think the killer is, we are not allowed to ' back another horse'...

We gradually get eliminated for the wrong guess and the hunt for the killer is narrowed down a bit for next round?...ah fuck it, just let me know what you think Ben and everyone...

The killer chosen at random would have to be a regular poster though,but there is a good few!

We'll have to hash out the mechanics of it, I'm thinking there's got to be something in the way of clues that are provided by the admin team about the killer, something along those lines?

Newsfix Murder Mystery is in the making then! 

I've been doing searches for how other forums have hosted murder-mystery games; if anybody comes up with a good set of rules, please post them! I'm also trying to think of how we could do it but I keep confusing myself   

I want to be Lieutenant Columbo in it.

Not so sure on all that yet Ben, but maybe one of the rules can be as soon as a member guesses their only one formal guess and they are wrong,then they drop out?...

Downside is of course this would shorten the amount of possible murderers!

There has to be a limit on guesses, my thought was that each player could get one guess per round -- and the murderer could kill one player per round. But each player killed would leave another clue as to the identity of the murderer.

I don't know, it does seem like it would take a lot of preparation, but I think it could be fun if we figured out how to do it

This sounds a fun idea. Maybe there could be a word clue, each day to help to guess the murderer.

Admin could send the word clue to the murderer via pm and the murderer would need to use that word in one of their comments each day. The word clue being something to do with that persons avatar or username.

That's true eddie. I'm thinking, maybe a way to do an attempted murder on the person you want to murder, so that the first attempt fails, but the 2nd attempt kills them off.

That way the person will have a fair chance or at least 2 days to guess who the murderer is before they're put in the hole.
