Public Sector Workers Get A Nice Pay Rise - Some Still Manage To Complain Though
13th March 2014
Many health workers complain they won't get the pay rise... because they already get 3% per year anyway!!! FFS!
Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, has told ITV News' Deputy Political Editor Chris Ship the government's pay deal to public sector workers is a "right, fair balance".
It was announced today that public sector workers will receive a one per cent increase to their pay, apart from those who already receive "progresson-in-job" increases due their length of service. These increases are typically worth more than three per cent.

A lot of people don't realise how well public sector workers do. If you factor in pensions their packages particularly for white collar and professions are much better than private sector rivals who actually pay their wages.
There will come a point when the govt will have to abandon final salary schemes as has the private sector it isn't affordable. None have had the balls to admit it yet.

Completely agree kevins.
Cutting their own throats for the good of millions.
Tough decisions have to be made - everybody knows that.
