Can anyone help?
First topic message reminder :
Maybe someone has experienced this problem before.
On laptop I am on Windows 10 and use the Edge browser....not had that many problems with it for ages.
But, 2 days ago, and only when i am trying to use a search engine, my scroll bar disappears, it flashes at the bottom right hand corner for a nano second....then it's gone.
I cant scroll, cant use the up/down keys, cant finger scroll either.
I tried to follow a youtube help vid, and managed to also lose my cursor.....found that now though.
If anyone can help I would be very happy.

My first post on this thread I said probably something to do with settings and a tick in a box...
You did Tommy, as did Ben, and I had tried all the suggestions and they hadn't worked.
I think, as I said a previous update had changed the scroll setting....and I have no idea why the MOUSE setting was off or if it was ever ON in the first place, I dont even have a mouse, but turning it on seems to have worked.
I appreciate everyone's help here, thank you. x

In trying to get my scroll back, along the way i lost my cursor, then I managed to find it, but my spellchecker vanished ... and i really need that, but, as they say, alls well that ends well.

Sounds exhausting! At least it’s stopped you from waffling on about drive-through-skating-snails or whatever

Actually, whilst I was offline with techie trouble i had more time to come up with some good ideas about that......eddie wrote:Syl wrote:

Is it sorted now?
There was never an option to disable the s/bar (deliberately or accidentally) so there was no problem ..... until they decided to introduce the option when they upgraded to windows 10.
They create extra features - just for the sake of it.

Re: Can anyone help?
I accidentally discovered that the screen can switch sideways. A full 90o rotation. Must've accidentally pressed the wrong keys. Why would anyone want that feature??
I rang youngster at his workplace and he said ''press control plus alt plus the correct arrow key (or something like that) and you'll get it back to how it was''.
Why is 'sideways viewing' even a thing and how did he instantly know how to fix it??

New posts show up as red on the left hand side of the page, that's the only thing to go by.

Re: Can anyone help?
The scrolling screen probably got lost whilst Ben was trying to close down the forum last night for a 24 hour silence for Vic.
He couldn’t remember how to do it and ironically the person he’d have asked for help would probably have been Vic.

Re: Can anyone help?
It was a nice gesture to think of closing the forum in respect for Vic.
I'm sure he would have appreciated the humour of Ben messing it up, and Vic not being available right now to sort it.
Maybe it was his way of saying just get on with running the forum and stop messing about.
