He's pretty good. I liked him in the voters' question format.

He's barely there, but unless he strokes out, which is possible, he's going to win.

He will win, but we won't see the real agenda until Harris takes office.

Why would you call it a secret? I speak of it openly...so should everyone. Biden is a bit out-of-date.

Pretty sure they are both on stuff tbh. Trump is super low energy sometimes and the next time you see him he's doing his cringy little dances. Not exactly shining a great light on the virtues of democracy having two 70+ year-olds mumbling and whining at each other for the world to see

From what I hear, Biden royally fukked up in the latest debate and Trump did very well...
Looks like Biden may have sealed his fate in a few key states now and opened left the door wide open to a Trump victory!
And I wouldn't take much notice of any polls showing a democrat victory... Last time round the NY Times ran a story predicting Hillary Clinton had a 85% chance of winning, Reuters/IPSOS said 90% and the ridiculous rag the Huffington post said 98% chance of winning!!!

Trump did slightly better. Not enough to change anyone's mind.
Look at it this way. Let's say everyone agreed that Biden did better. Would that cause you to vote for him if you could?
Half the country has already voted. The rest have made up their minds. Undecideds are too small a number to matter at this point.

Trump's mishandling of the pandemic (quarter-million dead) has already lost him the election.
The huge rise in voter participation means something is afoot. Since a rise in voter participation generally means the electorate is moving to the left, Trump is expecting to lose. Thus, it's my belief he is banking on post-election legal action to give him the win.

Trump lost by 3-million votes last time. He won by the barest margins in the electoral college.
Also, he was the rebel last time. Today, he is the incumbent, and he is visited by a huge problem he is unable to fix. He's a proven failure, let's face it.

Lefties are not the anti-democrats. They are not trying to suppress the vote. They are not the ones behind gerrymandering. Those are RW tricks to keep ethnic groups from voting for the righteous left candidates.

Re: biden running for senate or president??
I've said this before, but maybe I should expand on it a bit more.
In 2016, Trump had no record in public office. Now he has four years as president, and people can and will look at whether he's been good or bad for America. (I'd love to hear people's opinions on how he's been good for America, and I've invited people to list the things he's done to help America, but nobody to my knowlege has taken me up on that.)
The part I haven't really gone into before is that Trump was really poised to become president in 2016. Historically, American political parties rarely hold onto power for more than eight years. After a president has served two terms, usually the opposition party wins. Maybe Americans just like to change things up.
So you take the fact that Trump had no political record to hold against him and the fact that Democrats held the presidency for eight years, and it would have been a historical oddity if Clinton had won the presidency (and of course, she still won the popular vote by a gigantic margin, more than the population of Chicago).
Now, Trump and the Republicans are trying and will try everything they can to win the 2020 election. Trump appointed a friend to run the postal service who deliberately slowed down the post, making mail-in voting harder during a pandemic.
Republicans have created fake ballot boxes, hoping to throw away as many Democratic ballots as possible.
Trump has said that mail voting will lead to rampant voter fraud with no evidence to back up that claim. He's said he may not accept it if he loses. Republicans plan to send operatives to polling stations to try to intimidate voters.
But this election won't be like the 2016 election. People will see how Trump tried to take away their healthcare, how he failed to fulfill a single campaign promise, how he divided the country unlike any president in modern history, and of course, they'll see his inept response to the pandemic.
They won't be inspired by Biden, but they'll be so desperate to rid the country of the thick fog of nastiness that Trump has brought upon America that they'll vote for anybody else.

Trumps problem is he a bit of a sociopath and sucks at hiding it. People have just grown tired of him. Couple that with Biden being more likable than Hillary, even if he doesn't know what day it is and it's not hard to see why Biden will win. The polls were off a couple of points last time. Biden has way more than two points of lead in the states that he needs. He should have ran last time. He would have probably beat Trump and could have served a whole term.

Thing about polls is... they are based on a very small number of people giving an answer... and lots of them don't necessarily give an honest answer to the questions asked...

It's a slim hope, but a real one.
More reassuring is what it means for Biden's chances that so many former Republican strongholds are absolutely competitive this time round.

It must also mean that for a good number of conservatives, Trumpism has gone too far. Texas Republicans would probably be happy to vote for someone like Pence, or even Sarah Palin circa 2008. Trump is simply too incompetent and too nasty.

I rode around N Dallas yesterday. If yard signs are an indicator, the wealthy in Texas are not voting for Trump. It was startling how lopsided the signs were.
Of course there are a lot of Trump supporters that don't want the hassle that can come with putting a Trump sign in the yard.
But I sense a pretty strong shift towards Biden this time around.
I think the more important question is the Senate. If the Republicans can keep 51 (which is looking doubtful) they can keep Crazy Joe in check.

Meh...I disagree. The Republican Party is all a bunch of old people that the world is waiting to die off. I don't mean to sound vindictive or cruel, but death is a part of life.
The Republicans, after the monumental failure of 2008, rejected proposals to bring themselves up-to-date...to move themselves along with the leftward trend of the general public. "The party can't continue only appealing to one segment of the population," said Art Martinez de Vara, a Texas Republican activist who is Hispanic and was the mayor of Von Ormy, a small town near San Antonio. In resisting a natural tendency toward evolution, they dug their own grave.
Conservatives, whether Republican or Tory, are basically undemocratic, which means they don't pay much credence to the people. After all, as Nobel laureate F. A. Hayek noted, conservatives are married to conserving...they don't subscribe to any plan or program, except steadfastly standing in place. Their mindset becomes rigid, while the world keep on turning. Pretty soon, they go the way of the setting sun.
People keep hoping--musing, really--that Republicans are not dying. That would mean that the 2-party system is dying. Nobody intends for the 2-party system to die, but people do intend to move past the ideas that Republicans promote (ie, anti-LGBT, anti-abortion, anti-black, anti-immigrant, white-nationalism). By refusing to move on, Republicans put the tension on themselves.
Republicans are themselves, de facto pushing for the end of the 2-party system in America. Like a crazed lover in some 1930's Hollywood melodrama, Republicans are holding a gun to America, shouting: if I can't have her, no one can have her!! One hopes that another lover will come along soon...a new party to replace the crazy one that refuses to budge, and rescues America. Then, let the crazed old man drift away in heavenly eternity.
Trump craziness is the result of the tension that Republicans are placing on America, because of their refusal to change. It can’t continue. The 1950’s are gone, Ike is no longer president, and we have been to the moon and back. We can’t make America great again, or white again, or some colorless suburbia that looks forward to electric can openers, and blissfully ignores pandemics or climate changes. Nor can a Republican Party go on without bending to the times. It will either change, or it will cause America to die, or itself die and move out of the way.

Which is a pretty telling indicator, itself. If the temper of the times is that: pro-Trump = hassle...then the sentiment is decidedly pro-Biden.

Which is a pretty telling indicator, itself. If the temper of the times is that: pro-Trump = hassle...then the sentiment is decidedly pro-Biden.
Could indicate a lot of things about the current state of affairs in this country.

True. A fuller expression of my assessment is above.

It's a slim hope, but a real one.
More reassuring is what it means for Biden's chances that so many former Republican strongholds are absolutely competitive this time round.
If Biden loses, the pollsters are finished.
Does an opposition house really keep the president in check in 2020? The just seemed to obstruct Obama at every turn.
I'd prefer a blue wave across all 3 parts of the US government.

They slow down legislation. They require deals and concessions to be made. Or at least they used to. Obstruction isn't bad either.
Won't be a blue wave in the courts. They are set for some time.
I think down deep inside, McConnel knew that Trump was going to lose either way, so getting that next seat on the SC is even more important to stop some "inventive" legislation.

Yeah sorry I meant the Presidency and both houses of Congress. I agree on the SC. Honestly that institution should not be lifelong, wouldn't be surprised if changes were made there.
