‘Log off! Log off!’ teacher orders students when sexual assault livestreamed during first grader’s remote learning class

An 18-year-old Chicago man out on bond for a gun case was held without bail after he livestreamed himself during a sexual act with a 7-year-old first grader on break from her remote learning class on Thursday prosecutors said.

Catrell A. Walls, of the West Chesterfield neighborhood on the South Side, was arrested Thursday afternoon shortly after 3:30 p.m., after he was seen molesting the girl, police said.

Walls, charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a victim under 13 years old, appeared for a bond hearing Saturday afternoon before Judge Charles Beach.

Police were made aware of the attack when the girl’s teacher saw it on a computer screen during a Google classroom e-learning session.

Walls showed complete disregard of children and a “wanton callousness for human life,” Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Andreana Turano told Beach.

Everyone, no matter how sick, is entitled to a robust legal defense. I hope it fails, but I'd never deny anyone their rights under the law.

I can think of situations that don't require a lawyer.  Our illustrious President Trump has raped at least one 13-year old girl.  It was ugly too…he “slapped her with an open hand and told her he would do whatever he pleased with her,” which is every bit as heinous as this story.

IMO he doesn't deserve a lawyer.  All a lawyer would do is draft a Non-Disclosure Agreement and arrange for payment of $10,000, more-or-less, and voilà…another rapist out on the streets.

Yes legally everyone is, I still think you have to be of a certain moral kilter to defend baby rapists, child murderers, serial killers etc.
