Brilliant ideas thread.
First topic message reminder :
I have had a Eureka moment.
So Cineworld is closing all it's cinemas in the UK, meaning that 5,500 people will be out of jobs, and it could be the end of cinemas for some considerable time, and who knows if any will survive given the economic climate we are living in now.
So.......why not open more drive throughs? Open air cinemas, like in the states, where people can sit in their cars and watch the film in social distancing safety.
The huge supermarkets like Asda and B&Q could rent their space out in the evenings...so they trade in the day and use the vast carparks at night for entertainment.
Win win for everyone.

No....you paint the snails in lots of pretty patterns, then you put them in a tray, then the tray hangs round your neck, like the old fashioned usherettes who doubled up as ice cream sellers in the cinema.eddie wrote:I am not painting snails nor am I wearing them round my neck like some slimy shell necklace!
That is obviously too boring for you, which is why you will have roller skates to wizzz round from car to car.....in the open air drive in.

A large outdoor space, a high roof, firepits/space heaters and a bar, et voila! An open-air pub, perfect for these covidous times in which we live.
Of course, in Texas you could largely make do without the heating, or the roof for that matter, but not here in Chilly Drizzly Land.

We have passed a few times since lockdown and it just looks too packed for my liking at the present time, the tables are pretty close together...it wont last forever.
Glad you are still getting out and enjoying yourself, I think we all have to do what we feel is right for us as long as we are following the local guidelines.
