So now you have more time on your hands....
Have you bothered to do anything constructive with it?
I have almost completed 4 weeks of self isolation, apart from the odd walk I have not been out of the house and garden.
I was going to write a book, take up water colouring again, my first attempts were bad, but I have all the stuff, all I need is the inspiration, which so far hasn't arrived sadly.
I have prepared my garden for all the plants I have ordered online, apart from that...….nowt.

Hi Thor.
I do a dance almost every morning in the kitchen, OH twirls me round a few times whilst he sings an old Charles Aznavour song....it starts the day off on a happy note.
I'm not bored anyway, I may lack inspiration to do anything artistic ..I don't lack inspiration to do sod all though.

You still must have spare time, something has to fill the time you would have spent socialising with friends and family.
I actually think that's the hardest bit, not seeing loved ones.

I've spent more time at the office, and rode my bike a lot.
And wasted time on forums.

Re: So now you have more time on your hands....
I’m still working from home or going into the library when nobody else is there.
Reading as normal. Luckily I grabbed a ton of books the day before we closed the library. But I have been plowing through some Julia Child, Alison Roman and Melissa Clark cookbooks and Julia Child DVDs. Plus going through the NYT Cooking app and downloading recipes. I’ve got 900+ saved. We’re going to try an international family Zoom meeting tomorrow between France, 3 places in England, 3 here in AZ and 1 in California. Fingers crossed it works.
I did mean to do family filing, starting some family history, and cleaning out some closets and organizing my kitchen utensils drawers but, yeah that hasn’t happened. Yet.

I keep saying “let’s buy some paint and paint the house!”
It never happens.
I did buy a really nice toe ring online. I got well excited for its arrival.

Like obscenely excited, to the point of asking our poor, worn-out postman about it the other day. He held up well under what I can only imagine was a lot of internal pressure to complain loudly about the toe-ring-orderers of the world

I love eddie's post, it's all about what people who are into meditation mean when they talk about turning off your "monkey brain" -- that part of your mind that must be constantly active, churning, thinking. It's not always good for us.

Yes! We beat ourselves up for not being constantly busy. Sometimes just resting and just “being” makes you more whole somehow.

Well, I'm just working.
I did have some iced tea earlier.
I have devoted the rest of my life to celibacy, so no need for making love.
Weather here is about to get nasty, but I'm not going to complain, unless I get hit by a tornado.
Tornadoes are exceptions to the complaining rule.

The hour long family international zoom worked out well although France wasn’t able to join us due to an internet issue and Ealing had a dodgy connection but otherwise it was great and my aunt from Austin joined in. Then had a separate hour call with junior junior in the UK.
Then I ate some sushi, read part of a book on the Tudor queens and had a nap on fresh sheets. Now going to watch more Wire in the Blood before making a chicken stir fry. Overall a successful day.

Tommy was thinking practical, Eddie was thinking red lights.
Does a red light still denote a lady of the night is on duty I wonder?
